tomorrow.

 THEME- ‘Mobility’
o Proceed through the past, present and future of movement, from
ancient exploration through artificial intelligence.
o Digital connectivity, travel & exploration, and logistics.

AERIAL VIEW

 INTRODUCTION-
o Designed by- Fosters + partners
o Human progress through physical and digital realms.
o Aims to connect people, providing the opportunities and facilities to
allow them to do business, collaborate and access knowledge,
innovation and solutions which will enable regional and global
communities to develop for the future.
o World’s first rope less elevator for skyscrapers. Engineered by
ThyssenKrupp Elevator.
o Include discussions and debates about the importance for why Mobility
is Expo 2020’s sub-theme is so important, host events for investors and
the business community.
o Structure is made of steel mainly.
 PLANNING-
o A flowing trefoil-shaped structure.
o Entrance consists of a couple of stairs which go down to underground
floor greeted by rope less elevators.
o A huge ramp leads from ground floor to higher floors.
o Movement inside the structure starts from 9th-century Baghdad to a
virtual world brimming with data.
o 12,000 m. sq. plot with 4,000m. Sq. of exhibition space.
o Followed close of the Expo, will become home to unique, high-end
office space.
o Upper floors cover the office areas and externally the façade increases
in size.
o The topmost floor has got sitting areas and viewpoint and is semi-open.
o Structure has a central core.
o Structure has a large frontage space.
o In the given figure, single line shows steps, double line shows
structural elements and dotted line shows roof line.

  SWOT ANALYSIS-
o Strength- High tech and world’s top infrastructural systems are installed
for e.g. elevators.

o Threat- Justice, health, climate, equality are some goals which are not
considered in the project and may cause harm in future economy of
cities.

 CONCLUSION-
o The technological innovations, potential for investment, and positive
ramifications for mankind are what makes this pavilion special.
o The pavilion shows connection and movement though travelling from an
ancient time to a virtual world in future.
o Lacks in sustainability but makes some great innovation, proper use of
technology and futuristic solutions to existing problems.
