Introduction

Welcome to this module "Google Classroom and Course Materials Conversion


to Online Learning".. At the end of this module, you should be able to:

1. Describe the circumstances when you can use google classroom for your
online class.

2. Create your own google classroom

3. Assess your available teaching materials in preparation for its conversion


to online delivery.

 ANNOUNCEMENTS:

completion. First cut-off date was 25 March (for those who have completed
all module requirements on that date and were checked). Second cut-off date
was 28 March. You will receive instructions on how you will download your
digital certificate.

Quick Guide to Google Classroom by Dr. Ria Borromeo

Activity Instruction:

1. Those with google account, create a google classroom following the


instructions demonstrated in the video by Dr. Borromeo.

2. In the Discussion Forum 1 (below), post your class code. (Note: For UP
faculty members, try using your up.edu.ph account).

How to post:

2.1. Click DF1: My google classroom


2.2. Click “Add a New Discussion Topic”

2.3. You can opt to use the same subject “My Google Classroom”; then
encode your class code in the message box. You can also opt to attach a
screenshot of your google classroom in the “Attachment” part

2.4. Click “Post to Forum”

Post here the code for your google classroom. You can also enroll in
the google classroom created by your fellow participants and inform
the said fellow learner by replying to his/her post.

2. Converting your Materials
to Online Instruction
Converting your Materials to Online Instruction by Dr. Primo Garcia

1. Get your course syllabus. Check the remaining lessons/topics that you still
need to discuss until end of the term. For each lesson/topic, list the learning
goals and check the existing materials that you have and which you will use to
deliver/teach the lesson in a F2F setting.

These activities will jumpstart you to creating your own course online.
Completion of these activities will also be the basis for the issuance of the
digital Certificate of Module completion.

3. Module Evaluation
Congratulations for having completed this module. Note that in completing
this module, you were able to create your own virtual classroom and did the
first step in preparing for your online teaching by identifying the
sample/specific lessons that you will teach and the materials that you have if
you will teach them in the F2F mode. Note also that through your
participation in this module, you have learned using the basic features of a
Learning Management System: Posting in Discussion Forum; some have
replied to the posts of fellow learners; and attaching files in a DF post.

As our last activity, kindly evaluate the module so we can continue improving
