The reason I took this quote because it is suitable with my topic for today which is
Educational leadership: Teachers as the agents of change in schools.
Assalamualaikum and a very good afternoon, my name is sitti shaqirah binti
samaluddin and this is the topic that I am going to present for today. Before I start
my speech, does any of your teachers before this said or show something to you
until that moment kind of change your lives? Or until that person become one of
the sources of your inspiration to become successful in the future? if it’s a yes
then your teacher must be a great leader and for the one who says no, don’t
worry because sooner or later you will find your own inspiration too.

First of all, Teacher leadership is very important for all educators to make sure
they achieve their visions that they have for their students. And also, to make
sure the students will achieve their goals. So, what is teacher leadership? The
term teacher leadership refers to a set of skills demonstrated by teachers who
continue to teach students but also have an influence that extends beyond their
own classrooms to others within their own school and elsewhere. It entails
mobilizing and energizing others with the goal of improving the school's
performance of its critical responsibilities related to teaching and learning.

Now let’s start with my first point which is how do teachers change the lives of
their students’ in school through education? It is actually based on how a skillful
teacher can turn the solemn atmosphere into a very exciting environment to
attract the attention of his/her students’. By holding the students’ fascination, it
will make the students to do their best engaging with the teacher because they
are both challenged and interested with the lesson. It is a part of motivating the
students to not feel afraid in facing any problem or challenge which may not be
easy, but will benefit the students immeasurably in the long run. And this is how
teachers encourage others to build more confidence and skills too.

Next, teacher leadership also shows when they started to give others guidance.
Because teachers usually become a trusted source of advice for students that
need important life decisions. Educators can help their learner to pursue higher
education, explore career opportunities and compete in events they might
otherwise have not thought themselves able to. Students also often look to their
teachers as mentors with experience and knowledge, and, as an educator, they
will almost definitely be asked for advice at some point during creating a career.
My last point will be inspiration. A great leader will inspire a lot of people
especially their followers. Have you ever had a teacher who inspired you to work
harder or pursue a particular goal? Were you inspired to become an educator by
one of your own great teachers? Some of us might have teachers that makes us
aid that “oh, someday I want to be just like this teacher because she always kind
with all of her students or because she always encourages people to become
better and so on.” Inspiring students is integral to ensuring their success and
encouraging them to fulfil their potential. That is why students who are inspired
by their teachers can accomplish amazing things, and that motivation almost
always stays with them. Inspiration can also take many forms, from helping others
through the academic year and their short-term goals, to guiding them towards
their future career. Years after graduation, many working professionals will still
cite a particular teacher as the one who fostered their love of what they currently
do and attribute their accomplishments to that educator. And this said that
“teachers are the agents of change in school”.

As a conclusion, we already know how important it is to have a teacher leadership

in school because we will always need a person that can educate us, give us their
guidance to become better and also turn out to be one of our inspiration to
