efficient process plan and reduced machine idle and down time, garment non quality cost
of rejections, reworks, excess production and process loss reduced from about 40 % to
12%, regular monitoring and study of plan with yield resulted positive outcome, fall in
operation cost due to streamlining of inventory system, employees were educated on
quality as, “ A value provided to the customer”, improvements in good relation and
communication with other departments solved various practical problems, efficiently
controlled the measurement variations with process time lost and controlled non
conformities in process and production stages, efficient control and modification of system
resulted reduction of operating cycle time.
