OBJECTIVE

With the development of this unit it is intended to understand the importance of In the
development of the economy of the countries of the entire world, based on this importance, it is
established that in order to implement it, it must be structured based on data such as the behavior
of the economy, the psychosocial, geographical environments, political behavior, in this way it is
can implement such an important development
GEOPOLITICS AND ENVIRONMENT.

1. What negative impacts does the war in Colombia generate on the environment?

REPLY : The armed conflict has important and surprising contradictions for biodiversity. The
impacts involve significant pollution in the manufacture and testing of weapons, but also in the
degradation of large areas of land for military training and training. Wars erode the social and
political fabric that protects biodiversity, The environmental consequences of war are
overwhelmingly negative, and the first role for biodiversity conservation is to demonstrate that
sustainability can help prevent or mitigate the risk of conflict (Hanson , 2019)

 It is thought that 88% of diarrheal diseases

are the result of an unhealthy water supply
and poor sanitation and hygiene.

 Improving the water supply reduces diarrhea

morbidity between 6% and 21%, if serious
consequences are accounted for.

 Improving the quality of drinking water by treating

domestic water, for example, with chlorination at
the point of consumption, can reduce diarrhea
episodes by 35% to 39%.

 Another reason for contamination occurs when it

enters the distribution system, through cross-
connections, breakage of the distribution system
pipes, household connections, tanks and defective
reservoirs.

basic conditions that affect health, prioritized from the point of view of environmental
health such as water supply, disposal of excreta, solid waste , housing and vector control.

3.DEFINE AND EXPLAIN THREE STRATEGIES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN COLOMBIA, ACCORDING TO CONPES 3918 OF 2018.

ANSWER: There are sustainable development goals or SDGs that are those that are
managed worldwide, we are aware that the powers and those who belong to the UN met
to improve what were previously called the millennium goals that are now called goals of
Sustainable development, these are intended to conserve and preserve the human
species and the environment. This CONPES 3918 OF 2018, which is the one that applies in
Colombia, is pointing according to the 2030 agenda that is the sustainable environmental
agenda, in which the 17 sustainable objectives we have are established, but among them
Colombia has specified three, Among those we find: Education, poverty eradication and
preservation of the environment. This CONPES is based on being able to make progress in
counteracting the shortcomings that our country presents in these issues, as is well
known although we are one of the countries with diverse resources, such as a very poor
country, with a very low indicator, being considered as One of the most unequal in the
world, therefore, he is betting within this CONPES to implement new policies that allow
him to improve the living conditions of us Colombians. On the subject of education we are
not very well qualified and therefore a proposal is proposed development that implies
changing the conventional strategies that our education system has, since we must bear
in mind that education is not only learning to write and read, that is simply our first step,
beyond this implies knowledge, practice issues and to enable resources to arrive properly
to ensure equity at country level at country level p so that everyone can get a quality
education. On the other hand, regarding the issue of environmental conservation, we
have seen catastrophes that have occurred in our country and that hurt us like what
happened in the Sierra de la Macarena, in the Sierra Nevada de Santamarta and in the
municipality there was an unfortunate Burning of 200 hectares of forest, so we play a very
important role doing practices that promote conservation and that the entities in charge
generate projects aimed at protecting the environment where we are involved as a
community and that we are trained in environmental issues to generate contributions
that contribute to the conservation of the environment.

In the references consulted, he refers to the epistemological subject-object relationship,

within international relations and the epistemology of the imagination seeks to conceive
both the non-existent and the unheard of, where what seems improbable or unrealizable
can become something viable. Geopolitics is traditionally concerned with the study of the
state, its borders, and its relations with other states (Heffernan 1998: 61). It also provides
a way of looking at the world that places great emphasis on exploring and explaining the
role of geographic factors (such as territorial location and / or access to resources) in
shaping national and international politics. The new geopolitics of sustainability is
configured in the context of an economic globalization that, while leading to the
denaturation of nature, promotes with the discourse of sustainable development an
appropriation strategy that seeks to "naturalize" the commodification of nature.

PROBLEMATIC SITUATION

VEHICULIZED DISEASE FROM WATER POLLUTION IN TOLIMA

Tolima is the second department in the country that reports more cases of malaria. Heat
waves trigger malaria cases in Tolima. The phenomenon of children has caused a
significant increase in cases of malaria, since as the temperature increases, apparently the
droughts that force Man to create water reservoirs for sustainability, favoring an
environment conducive to the appearance of mosquitoes. In the winter time floods also
occur, there is an increase in hatcheries, water contamination and this also allows the
appearance of the disease in the population. It is important to keep in mind that poor
waste management has a significant influence on the appearance of malaria cases
because in many cases the accumulation of receptors generates water deposits that are
an important key in the development of this disease.
Due to this, malaria has become, over time, a public and environmental health problem,
which are increasing, in addition to the appearance of different serotypes and new cases
of severe malaria have generated that this disease will become very importance in health
and that they create different campaigns that encourage individuals to carry out practices
that reduce cases, for this reason different standards have been established that establish
the fight against vector-borne diseases.
It is important to eliminate all mosquito breeding sites especially to avoid the presence of
standing water in different sites and containers, as well as in containers to kill the larvae.
To prevent these mosquitoes or mosquitoes, it is advisable to change the water in the
animal troughs and the flower vases, cover the containers with water, eliminate garbage
with residues or fluids, do not reuse tires to build playgrounds and / or accessories in
garages or closed places Where there is the slightest trace of moisture, use repellent on
exposed areas of the body, cover furniture and beds with mosquito nets, avoid contact
with closed places such as deposits and old clothes stored, among other things.
What are the causes of water pollution?

• 1) Industrial waste. Industry is one of the main factors that cause water pollution. ...

• 2) Increase in temperatures. ...

• 3) Use of pesticides in agriculture. ...

• 4) Deforestation. ...

• 5) Oil spills. ...

• 6) Diseases. ...

• 7) Mortality. ...

• 8) Malnutrition.

HOW DOES THE HUMAN BEING CONTAMINATE THE WATER?

The main water pollutants are the following: Garbage, chemical waste from factories and
industries. Wastewater and other wastes that demand oxygen (mostly organic matter, the
decomposition of which causes deoxygenation of water).
Firstly, the disappearance of biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems. Also the human being is
severely damaged due to the alteration in the food chain and contracts diseases by
drinking or using contaminated water.

A direct consequence of water pollution, both rivers and lakes and seas, is the entry of
toxic elements into the food chain. ... On the other hand, the more polluted the water is
by said toxic compounds, the more likely it is that these elements will evade.

The following tips will help us, from our homes, to avoid contaminating the rivers and
reservoirs near our homes.

1. Use less chemicals to clean your home.

2. Dispose of waste in the correct way. .

3. Save as much water as possible.

pore and cause acid rain.

How can we avoid contamination?

1. Use public transportation.

2. Do not burn tires, trash or make bonfires.

3. Do not detonate fireworks.

4. Do not smoke or burn incense.

5. Make efficient use of energy: gasoline, electricity and gas.

6. Disconnect electrical appliances when not in use.

7. Corrects gas leaks.
