PRODUCT OVERVIEW
GlobalScan NX is a versatile document capture and distribution solution that turns
your departmental MFP into a powerful network scanner. As a convenient electronic
routing system, GlobalScan NX enables better day-to-day management of document
workflow. Specifically, GlobalScan NX adds intuitive "Send-to" Services to the MFP,
so that the device you are accustomed to using as a copier/printer, can also support
scanning of paper documents. Using GlobalScan NX's intuitive graphical display, you
can quickly and easily scan documents to valid email addresses, network shared
folders, and/or FTP/WebDAV servers. It provides

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Before starting installation, please make sure that your operating environment meets the above requirements.
INSTALLATION RESTRICTIONS
GlobalScan NX cannot be installed on a PC where any of the following
products are already installed:
DeskTopBinder Lite/Professional
ScanRouter V2 Professional
ScanRouter Enterprise
ScanRouter Ex Professional/Enterprise
ScanRouter DocumentServer
ScanRouter Web Navigator
- Memory on Device
Note that the memory on the devices should be expanded as much as possible.
GlobalScan NX application may not work properly on a device where its memory
has not been fully expanded.
Use of a profile that includes functions that only exist in the newer version is not supported,
and may cause errors.
Support for the v1.1 SDK application is not provided.
GW+ Models Support (v1.x/v2.x):
- Server Module must be v1.5.2 or later
- Embedded Module must be v1.5.4.2 or later
Limitation 1:When the Server module is V1.4 or later and the Embedded module is V1.3 or
earlier, logging-in to Projects with an assigned 'Authentication Profile' is not supported.
Notes
D111/D142, D143/144 and D129/D130 are supported if Server Module V1.5.2.0 or
later and Embedded Module V1.5.4.2 are used.
Basically, compatibility between older Server modules (e.g. V1.2.0) and newer
Embedded modules (e.g. V1.3.3) is not supported.
However, Embedded module V1.5.4.2 and V2.0.0 are designed to avoid server
upgrades simply for GW+ model support.
This means that the newer Server modules (e.g. V1.3.3) are supported for use with
older Embedded modules (e.g. V1.2.0).
The version of GS-NX needs to match only the first 2 digits for V1.2 and V1.3. For
example, this means V1.2.0 is compatible with V1.2.1.
Limitation: When the Server module is V1.4 or later and the Embedded module is
V1.3 or earlier, logging-in to Projects with an assigned 'Authentication Profile' is not
supported.
GSNX Server utilizes the existing GMP (Global Market Place) Activation
Process.
This is the same process utilized for v1.x.
GSNX Embedded utilizes the EDC-i Activation Process.
o This process utilizes a new tool called Remote Install Manager.
o Consult the Remote Install Manager Operations Manager.
