At the root of any Science or engineering is an instrument that measures, manipulates,
stores that information or controls a process. The extraordinary developments taking
place in areas like Communication, Space, Medicine, Defense etc. open up large number
of opportunities for engineers specializing in Electronics and Instrumentation. This
program aims to produce quality engineers with knowledge of the latest trends and
developments that are required for the ongoing technological revolution.
In view of the requirements of the industry and other R & D organizations, the curriculum
is designed to give due emphasis on Mathematics, Electronics, (Analog and Digital),
Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Transducers, Fiber Optics, Computer
Programming, Computer assisted Measurements, and the latest Instrumentation
Techniques.
Objectives
• Develop and apply mathematics, science and engineering skills to identify,
formulate, and solve electrical / electronic /instrumentation engineering problems.
• Use industry standard tools to analyze, design, develop and test computer based
systems containing both instrumentation and software components.
• Understand and assimilate the new trends in the broad field of Engineering /
technology to particular situations, where sensors and instrumentation knowledge
could be used.
• Apply theoretical knowledge to the solution of real world engineering problems and
to manage complex engineering projects.
• Continue to develop knowledge and skills after graduation in order to succeed
personally and contribute to employer success.
• Work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary development team and
undertake leadership roles when appropriate.
