Job description: A post-doctoral position (under DST-SERB Core Research Grant scheme
CRG/2019/004078) is open at the department of Physics, IIT Guwahati for candidates specialising in
theoretical high energy physics. The project primarily aims to build search strategies for
multicomponent dark matter in future direct and collider experiments. Candidates having expertise in
dark matter model building and phenomenological computations shall be preferred. IIT Guwahati has
fairly large and dynamic HEP group with a good coverage of expertise from cosmology, neutrinos,
flavour physics, Higgs physics, QCD, which the candidate can exploit.

Duration: The position is contractual, primarily for 11 months and extendable beyond 2 years.

Salary and benefits: Monthly salary for the position is Rs. 50,000 with additional HRA (Rs. 8000)
and medical benefits (Rs. 1250). The candidate can also avail travel facilities within India for academic
collaboration and conferences.

Eligibility: The candidate is required to have a PhD in particle physics, or at least have successfully
defended the thesis.
