First and foremost, I am a very proactive student in school. The previous learning year
offered many opportunities for students to learn and evolve academically. I got very excited
and decided to enroll in several classes thinking I would maneuver in all without challenges.
During the preliminary stages, classes became easy to handle. Still, towards half the semester,
the workload became extensive to a point I abandoned all my recreational activities to focus
on my classes. Since there was so much to do with minimal time, I slept for few hours to
work on my projects and assignment. Therefore, I realized I took up many classes than my
capacity to tackle, and for this reason, I could not establish exceptional grades. During the
last semester, I faced difficulties following up on several classes promptly, and at some point,
I began multitasking assignments to stay timely in submission. The unhealthy studying
condition jeopardized my focus in establishing quality grades and unfortunately, reflected my
GPA recording unsatisfactory academic progress. Nonetheless, I identified a better way of
organizing myself by constructing a productive personal timetable, prioritizing effectively.
During the semester, I managed to pass my classes with good grades.

During my spring semester, I experienced delayed sleep phase syndrome, a dysfunction


linked to my body internal clock. The two or three hours delayed sleep disrupted my class
schedule, and once I recognized I needed help, I enrolled under a DSPs program. This
program assists students in undergoing academic changes. The DSPS offered services
structured to meet unique academic requirements for enrolled students accompanied by filed
disabilities. To improve my challenges, I am meeting my DSPS counselor virtually through
zoom due to the current pandemic situation. I actively listen to the program's
recommendations since it is in my best interest to maintain a high GPA for the spring
semester.
I am currently setting my personal academic goals with guidance from my DSPS counselor.
Educational purposes for this year constitute a homework plan specific to each class
undertaken. I intend to construct particular period blocks for each class throughout the week,
holding myself responsible for spending these durations completing my assignments and
projects. Considering I may be pursuing online courses, I intend to visit my instructors during
office hours or virtually, depending on the school's means of communication. The reason for
wanting to meet with my instructor is to create a channel for help during challenging periods
in my academic experiences. I also intend to visit the career assistance department to learn
about my career options. The detailed insights on my career interests assist in the selection of
