COVID-19, We ave commited to keeping our residents and family members updated. As you
Know, health care providers across the country are facing unique chatlenges in the fight against
the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tam writing to advise residents, families, and resident representatives that on Saturday 8/29, we
have hac! one resident test positive for COVID-19. ‘This resident transferred that same day to
amother care facility to be cared for an its COVID unit. This resident admitted to our Facility on
August 24. ‘The resident was tested for COVID-19 immediately prior to admission and tested
negative, We re-tested the resident on August 28 after learning thal the resident's former home
health aid tested positive. ‘That re-test came back positive on August 29. Thus, the resident is
considered to have been positive prior (o admission. The resident hac been on a fourt
isolation at the facility as is required for new admissions.
All 24 residents who tested negative for COVID-19 in the past 90 days were tested on August
29. Allest results were negative, This is very good news! ‘The CDC does not recommend re-
{esting individual who tested positive for COVID=19 in the past 90 days. ‘This is because those
individuals may still test positive for 99 days after recovering even though they are no longer
contagious
All stffare also being tested August 29-31. So Lar, 2 staff tested positive today. Both of those
individuals had previously tested positive for COVID-19 ~ one in late May and one in early
June. Both of those staff members were just outside of their 90 day windows since testn
positive,
