- Inteligencia verbal o lingüística: Cuando explicamos conceptos, mandamos ejercicios, leemos,
- Inteligencia intrapersonal: Lectura y escritura individual.

5 Sesiones de trabajo
2 Warming-up activity: (10 min.) The teacher works with the group of students. They read the
sentence in italics and answer the questions.
`A social networking site is a website that is designed to help people communicate and share information,
photographs, etc. with a group´ How many social networking sites do you use? How often do you use them?
Do you use them to communicate and share information or photographs with a group? Have you ever
thought of them as a waste of time?
3 Read and comment. (20 min.) Students read some answers to the questions `What do you think
about social networking sites?´ After reading the answers, students have to fill in a table listing the
pros and cons.
`I enjoy using it and it keeps me in touch with relatives and friends who are far away´ Grace.
`I wouldn’t say that I `Love´ them but they are a great way to convey information to willing masses. They
are a good source of marketing for businesses with little or no budget and even better for those that do have
money and know how to take advantage of them´. Adam
`They can cause more trouble than they’re worth. My opinion about this is that social networks are a bad
thing. Users sometimes give away too much personal information about themselves´ Jenny
`This is the best way of making friends and share our ideas with others. It offers a number of additional
features such as the ability to create groups that share a common interest, upload or stream videos, and hold
discussions in forums. Social Networking is about relationships! Starting, building, meeting, sharing and so
much more to make the world go round! Social network is the best way to interact with all our friends´ Alan
`I think they are great for their purpose. As long as people remember that everything they post there can be
viewed by the whole world´. Alice
`Social Networks are a tool. If people miss-use or use them incorrectly that’s their problem. I use it and I like
it´. Caroline
`I don’t use social networks for two reasons: 1- I don’t feel comfortable putting too much personal
information on-line, or give it to companies which might use it in a way that I don’t approve. 2 – I already
spend too much time on the Internet, the last thing I need is one more reason´. David

4 Students read and comment on some facts: (15 min.) Students work first in pairs and then with the
teacher and the group to share their ideas.
The average Facebook user has 130 friends.
People spend over 500 billion minutes per month on Facebook.
Twitter gets more than 300,000 new users every day.
Every minute, 24 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube.
77% of Internet users read blogs.
90% of internet users know at least one social network.
