People who are addicted in video

games might lead in the bad way and in the good way yet there is a way to balance it properly
because most of the people who are playing are students. This topic that I should remind you that
students (#gamers) are dreaming to be one of the professional gamers one day in their entire life.
As we know in our eyes of our parents or people who against gaming or people who really just
play for a game, they think gaming is just a waste of time; they say “Gaming is just a game, you
will never get a lesson from that”. Most of the time they say to their children about gaming “It
might just ruin your studies and your life as well, you’ll never get a good life from that” but as
they see what gamers see, they would probably change their minds and they will say that gaming
is actually good to have a career about this and knowing there is a another world to find a great
life ahead that It could fit deserve people to be one (#gamers). As we know, we have a different
roles in life about what our God gave us for our future desire and if you are happy and love about
what you are doing especially dreaming to be a professional gamer, well there is one who will
could help you to be one. Gaming is not just a game, it is how you create a strategy to win and it
is much like of our daily life that we need to pursue things that we really need to claim the
victory in the end.
First of all, a Video Game is an electronic game that involves interaction with a user interface to
generate visual feedback on a two- or three-dimensional video display device such as
a touchscreen, virtual reality headset or monitor/TVset. Since the 1980s, video games have
become an increasingly important part of the entertainment industry, and whether they are also a
form of art  is a matter of dispute.

Video games can be played one two or more players: it helps also to spend their time to their
love ones, family, friends and etc. that they have to feel the love itself. As we go on, let’s move
on the Gaming Industry. Many Gaming Industry had a successful company, like UBISOFT,
NINTENDO, KING, NAMCO BANDAI, ELECTRONIC ARTS, ACTIVISION BLIZZARD,
MICROSOFT (XBOX GAMES), TENCENT GAMES, SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT
and many more. These successful Companies are earning to $1.6 to $10.5 billion dollars in a
year. Basically we are playing in their games, such as Candy Crush, Need For Speed, Call of
Duty, and many more.

As I introduced STEAM Company, they are earning for worth US$3billion, making it most
profitable company per employee in the United States; having also the biggest games in the
world such as, DOTA 2, CSGO, FORNITE, TEKKEN 7, LEFT 4 DEAD, ROS, PUBG, and etc.

DOTA 2 accompanied by the STEAM Company, has the biggest game prize pool in the world
making a worth of $30 million dollars for a Single Tournament which is The International or
what they called TI that they held for every year. Now we are thinking how gamers can
determined to be a professional or having a career about this.

Well we have now a Federation that could help gamers to be a “Real Gamers” and this are one of
the most successful Federation; one is the NASEF (NORTH AMERICA SCHOOLASTIC
ESPORTS FEDERATION). Their Mission is to provide opportunities for ALL students to use
E-sports as a platform to acquire critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving
skills needed to thrive in work and in life and their Vision is to ensure that ALL students possess
the knowledge and skills needed to be society’s game changers educated, productive, and
empathetic individuals.

We have also the IESF (INTERNATIONAL ESPORTS FEDERTION) is a global organization
based in South Korea whose mission it is to have electronic sports recognized as a legitimate
sport. Having a specific member’s nations who are in the IESF that much more like they had all
of the nations in a specific continent especially we are belong, the Philippines. IESF is much
more like a UN (UNITED NATIONS), but IESF is for Gaming and UN is for Government.

We have also the TENCENT-BACKED GLOBAL E-SPORTS FEDERATION formed in

Singapore. We had also in the Philippines a Company who help the gamers, the Tier-One. All of
the Federation that supports gaming had the same Mission and Vision for the equality of Gamers
and in Gaming Industry that they are producing to have educated persons for they represents the
good effects of Gaming.

 As we go on the specific content of our topic, let’s move on the “gamers” (Students).
Many students in the world are addicted in playing video games because as they say gaming is a
stress reliever for them. As we know if there is a good effect, there is also a bad effect. Well first
of all, the good effect is, when playing video games, it is actually gaining some knowledge about
what game you played, like DOTA 2, CSGO and many more but then it not just a game yet it a
much more like a CHESS GAME finding a new way of strategy to win the game. Well Gamers
they are searching for specific strategies for them to win, that’s why most of time when they
played, they are actually stressed about the game yet suddenly they are not giving up because of
what they believe from their selves, believing that practice makes perfect for them.

For the gaming good effects are, Better Problem- Solving Techniques, Sharpened Hand- Eye
Coordination, Enhanced Critical- Thinking Capabilities, Improved Motor Skills (fingers and
thumb, minds and eyes), Better Decision- Making Skills, Enriched Social Skills, also that
requires for us is the teamwork which is Magnified Team Work Contribution, Heightened
Concentration, Improved Goal- Setting Abilities, and we have the most common is having a
Better Health. Having this kind of effects it can have better health as an individual person.

The Bad Effects; mostly of the students becoming lazy of addiction of playing, well it might ruin
your studies but then there is a possible way of balancing between studies and gaming. Well of
course our parents are against to our gaming when we start becoming addicted to the game and
then scolded us because at first our parents disagree about what we do, that it might us ruin our
studies and I respect for that because that’s what parents do to us, to discipline as an individual.
It will have a Bad Effects if we are overdoing it (non-stop playing) such as, anxiety, affecting
also the brain and eyes, but there is a cure for that which is having a balance, especially a
complete-hour of sleeping. But when in gaming if you are tired or certainly bad effect is going
on, I believe this is a sign of enhancing more of our motor skills.

Many Gamers dreaming to be a Professional Gamer one day, imagining that they are wearing
their team shirt; walking to the main stage; playing against their idols, most especially their
parents are watching and supporting them, which are making them motivated and inspired to
play within. This Gamer’s thinking about is what I am concerning. If I am Parent, I should
support my son/daughter of what they love to do. Well, at first I disagree in playing video games,
but I should observe my children if they have the potential to play. Gamers had a big problem for
them and one of that are their parents which is blocking them to play: Many of the people who
are discriminating them because Gaming for them is just a trash. Gamers finding a way to be a
real gamer that it could help them and that is the Tier-One Company formed in the Philippines
which they are searching potential players to be one of them. This company is helping to the
players to enhance much more for their gaming skills to compete places to places and nation to
nation. Tier-One Company helps to enrich the Vision of the Gamers and for the parents of the
Gamers they are proud to see their son/daughter playing in big stage, earning a big salary which
it is good for them. Almost of the Professional Gaming Stars, they already decide of what career
they will choose and that is gaming. Gamers proved to the negative ones who are discriminating
them that “Gaming is not just a game, but it is another world to find a better life”. Mostly of the
Gamers they are having a big salary than the career of taking Doctor, Engineer, Nurses, and etc.
 As we know Gaming is good for our community, enhancing Gamers to be critical thinkers;
creating/doing a way of strategies to win and many more. Gaming Industry is also a good for our
community because it helps the Gamers to be a real Gamer. Also having a bad effects for the
gaming enthusiast, but we must to balance between gaming and our studies. Having a Federation
that could help Gamers to practice more their skills and having a potential to play. Also we know
that we have a different role in our life that we must to take on and live within and it is should to
choose a wise career plan for yourself so that in the end you never get regret of what you did.
Gaming shows us that there is another world to find a better life but in life there will always have
an inevitable problem yet it is most common for us that we need to come up for this to get what
we want in our life. God put us in this world to experience things that we must know and feel so
that in the end we will realize about what our God did to us. Everything has purpose.
I should remind to the Gamers for not giving up and doubting for themselves about dreaming a
Professional Gamer one day. There will be always a blocking to us, which is the challenge.
There is two different things that we must know and do it for, the “Discourage-Encourage and
Encourage-Encourage”. Discourage-Encourage means, if we already decided of what we will
taking a career that what brings us joy and love to do but then there will be a discouragement
about what you decide for, yet all of those who sees you a trash and discriminating you, make
this a motivation to do it about what you want for your life and if you will pursue to do it, at the
end all of the people who are discouraging you will be your friend again because they will
approach you and saying that they are proud to be your friend. Encourage-Encourage means,
person/persons who are encouraging you and believing you of what you want in life; that they’re
trusting and support you a hundred percent to be of what you want. As you take their trust and
support, you will be apply and take that as a motivation to pursue your dream, that their trust on
you will never break it a hundred percent too.
