For this evidence, read the following statements. Express to what extent you agree
or disagree with them and explain your opinion:

a. Some people are biologically predisposed to become criminals.

I totally disagree. I believe that each one is the one who chooses their
way of acting and they choose to be criminals not because they are
biologically predisposed to be.
b. Crime is a consequence of poverty.

I agree since there are people who are too poor and what remains is to be
criminals and follow bad steps, they do not have more opportunities and
ways to move forward since they are judged, but of course they are not
all the case but a great part.

c. A criminal cannot be reformed.

disagree because if possible, the criminal only needs to want to change

and if he wants to, even if it is difficult, he will achieve it and will be able
to get ahead and show that he is a great person despite his mistakes.

d. To reduce crime, we just need more police.

I disagree I think that the police do not do their job well, we have a police
country that criminals as it is possible that there is so much crime, this
happens because the police do not do their job as it is.

e. Some criminals deserve the death penalty.

I agree since there are people who deserve to be punished in such a way for the way they
acted, they have to be held responsible for their actions.

Example:

I strongly agree with the idea that some people are biologically predisposed to
become criminals; however, research has shown that having a genetic
predisposition doesn’t determine the actions of an individual. What matters the
most, according to psychologists and psychiatrists, is the environment in which
and individual is brought up. I think this is something politicians and lawmakers
should keep in mind when designing preemptive campaigns that aim at
reducing crime.
