You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand of
visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is
New York (USA) – The Statue of Liberty
located on Liberty Island in
the Hudson River.

Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square

Rome is a great city in Italy.
Thousands of visitors are
needed each year. The city has
a population of 2,856,133
inhabitants. There is a lot to see
and do in Rome. You can visit
many tourist sites such as,
Barberini Palace, Campo de
Fiori, Capitoline Museums. In the
image you can see the Plaza De
San Pedro, it was built by
Bernini in the mid-eighteenth
century and can accommodate
more than 300,000 people. The
dimensions of the plaza are 320
meters long and 240 meters
wide. It is located in the Vatican,
at the foot of Saint Peter's
Basilia.
Sydney is the largest and most
populous city in Australia and
Oceania. With a population in its
metropolitan area close to 4.92
million according to the 2015
estimate.
It is located in the southeast of
Australia on the shore of the
broad bay of Sydney. This city
highlights the opera house and
the Sydney Harbor Bridge in
Australia could even be said to
be the eighth wonder of the
modern world. It has a great
history behind From its design,
the structure began in 1956
when the bogierno of new south
wales was called an open
competition for the design of two
show rooms: an opera and a
symphony concert hall, which
provide sydney with an
international musical scene.

Edinburgh is the capital and a
council of Scotland (United
Kingdom). It is the second
largest city in Scotland after
Glasgow. Has a population of

Fountains From Dubai, in the
image we can see the Burj

heights higher than in history, it
is located in a 2kmº2 along the
Sheikh Zayed Avenue that
crosses the city of Dubai
transversely. Construction began
in January 2004 and its name
Sheikh and President of the
United Arab Emirates, Jalifa
Baque al Hahayan.
