“Who can give me a recap of what the previous (One student will raise his/her hand and give a
teacher discussed?” recap)

“Okay thank you Miss/Mister”

B. Lesson Proper

Motivation
“Before we go to our discussion, we will be
having an activity. This activity is called DANCE
IT, TO KNOW IT”
“I will be grouping the class into 4 and each
group should have 1 representative. Each
representative will pick from these rolled
papers and they will be performing the folk
dance indicated on the paper. While the other
members are in charged to guess what it is. The (Students will choose their representative)
fastest group to get the right answer are
considered the winner”

“Let’s start with the group 1. Choose from this (One student will be in front and pick a paper.
rolled papers” Dance it and the members of each group guess.)

 Tinikling
 Cariñosa
 Itik-Itik
 Pandango sa Ilaw

“Okay thank you for participating in the activity”

“Can anyone tell me what does your body did “I danced and made some gestures for them to
for your groupmates to get the answer?” get the answer”

“Exactly! Thank you Miss/Mister.”

“The first thing that we are going to tackled is

Dance and the Human body”

“Can anyone please read the first bullet?” (One student will raise his/her hand)

“The body can perform such actions as rotating,

bending, stretching, jumping, galloping and
turning.”

“Okay so our body can do gestures and

movements like what we did a while ago. Your
classmate portrays gestures and movements.”
“By varying these physical actions and using

“Thank you! That is the way dance will be “Yes Ma’am!”

formed. With the combination of body
movements and the dynamics, it results to
dance. So dance and the body are connected to
each other. Our body is the main subject in
dancing. It is the doer of the action or the
movements. Do you get it?”
“My mined examined the gestures and

mind during the activity?

“Thank you! Just like what he/she said her mind

and the human mind are also connected.”

“Anybody read and explain the Dance and the “Dancing can have psychological effects.
Human Mind?” Feelings and ideas can be expressed and
communicated, sharing rhythms and
movements can make a group feel unified.”

“It says that Dancing has effects on our minds.

We can also convey our ideas and feeling
through dancing.”
“Exactly! Thank you miss/mister. Just like what
we did on our activity. Your representative
expressed the things written on the paper
through dancing. Dancing affects our mind and
you processed the gesture, that’s when you got “None”
the answer. Do you have any question so far?”

“Let’s proceed now to Dance and Human (One student will raise his/her hand)
Culture. Who can read and give his/her insights
about it?” “Dance can be an art, ritual or a recreation. It
goes beyond the functional purposes of the
movement used in work or athletics in order to
express emotions, modes or ideas, tell a story,
serve religious rites, political, economic or social
needs, or simply be an experience that is
pleasurable, exciting or aesthetically valuable.”

“It simply says that dance can be use in

different ways and different purposes.”

“Thank you Miss/Mister! We can use dance in

different ways right? Just like rituals, performing
or even as our recreational activities. But it will
depend or varies on the purpose of the
movement. Just like the other tribes here the
Philippines, they used dance as a ritual to their
God. Also dance can tells a story with different
topic. Or just simply our past time and
experience. ”
“Yes Ma’am”
“Do you get its class?”

“Do you have any question?” “None”

“If none, can someone please summarize what “We discussed about dance and it’s connectivity
we discussed?” to our mind, body and culture.”

“Thank you! Another one?” “We talked about dance and the human body,
where in dance can be formed. Next is Dance
and the Human mind where in it says that
