HARD SKILL VS. SOFT SKILLS
Hard skills pertain to teachable and measurable
abilities, such as writing, reading math, computer
programming etc. This are the technical things
people can do.
Soft skills pertain to a broad set of skills,
competencies, behaviors, attitudes, and personal
qualities that enable people to effectively navigate
their environment, work well with others, perform
well, and achieve their goals.
HARD SKILLS VS. SOFT SKILLS

Hard skills and soft skills are not opposed to each


other.
Soft skills are broadly applicable and complement
other skills such as technical, vocational, and
academic skills.
Soft skills rival hard skills in the ability to predict
employment and earnings.
