CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC

I. INTRODUCTION

Quisao National High School is one of the pioneer national secondary schools in
the Province of Rizal which was founded in 1972. It is located at JP Rizal Street
Barangay Quisao, Pililla, Rizal near National Road and a few blocks away from our
Barangay Health Center and neighbouring school Quisao Elementary School. There
are 1319 students enrolled for the School Year 2020-2021, 45 Teaching Personnel
and 11 Non-Teaching with a total number of 1375.

On the other hand, Barangay Quisao is surrounded by farms, small mountains,

plains, and trees with a total Land Area of 1,510.76 hectares. The population of
Quisao grew from 6,949 in 1990 to 15,826 in 2015 with 2, 801 House Holds, an
increase of 8,877 people. The latest census figures in 2015 denote a positive growth
rate of 3.39%, or an increase of 2,542 people, from the previous population of
13,284 in 2010. This represented 24.42% of the total population of Pililla and ranks
first in terms of population size among other Barangay.

During ECQ there’s no CoViD19 confirmed case but when ECQ turned to GCQ
Pililla, Rizal recorded its first CoViD19 confirmed case this was last June 29, 2020.

The table shows that in Barangay Quisao there are 1 active case, 1 mortality case
and 7 recoveries. All of them are working outside the vicinity of the Barangay and
Municipality from the time that they were infected by the virus.

II. PURPOSE

Contingency Plan for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a key towards achieving

school readiness. This plan has been prepared to guide what needs to be done in
preparedness and response to the outbreak in accordance to the Contingency Plan
of the Division of Rizal which anchored on the Presidential Proclamation No. 922.
This is also embedded on the School’s Learning Continuity Plan that ensures the
continuity of learning among the learners as well as the safety assurance of the
school’s teaching and non - teaching personnel.
