SPEECH ROOKIES 1-4

HELLO, ______Good Morning_______ _Good afternoon_____

Introduction:

My name is Sam, I am 25 years old, my birthday is on August 21st. I’m from Ecuador and
I am talkative and friendly. I’m a student, I am going to central university, I study mechanic
engineering, I also study at new English world. I live in Quito with my family, my mother’s name
is Emma, she’s 58-year-old and she is a doctor, my father’s name is Jacob, he’s 60 years old, and
he is an electrician, I have two siblings Sara and Clark, Sara is studying laws at university and
Clark studies 3rd grade in a high school.

We live in a small apartment, it has three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, two
bathrooms and dining room. In our living room, there is a tv, a coffee table and a clock, there
are also two sofas, curtains and pictures, but there aren’t any mirrors and there’s no rug.

When I was a child I used to play marbles with my cousins and I also used to play hide
and seek on weekends. My family and I used to visit my grandparents twice a month. Some kids
love to fly kites but I didn’t use to do it because I didn’t like it.

Routine:

From Monday to Friday, I get up at 6 in the morning, I brush my teeth and take a shower, then I
eat my breakfast, for breakfast, I usually eat bred, scrambled eggs, drink orange juice and
sometimes I have cereal or yogurt. After that I go to university, I study from 8 am until 4 pm, in
the afternoon, I have lunch at noon, for lunch sometimes I eat rice, pasta, fritadas, drink soup
and vegetables. After university I go back home and take a shower, I have some snacks, and the
I go to New English world to take my english classes. When I finish my classes I go home, I get
some rest, then I watch tv until 7, I help my mother to make dinner, for dinner we usually have
bread, drink milk, sometimes eat fruit, and we hardly ever eat arepas. After dinner, sometimes
we watch a movie or play video game on the computer, I go to bed around ten or eleven.

On my last Vacation:

On My last vacation, I went to Guayaquil with my family, we spent 5 days, and we visited many
places, such as: restaurant, museums, beaches. I ate sea food, and I tried Japanese food, we also
went to the movies. The last night we planned to ride on Moscovita Rueda, but when we were
going to that place our car stopped and my father didn’t know how to fix the car, we spent two
hours waiting for a crane, we had to return to the hotel, and the next day we went back home.
It was a great vacation, if we go to Guayaquil again, we will ride on Moscovita Rueda.

Future plans:

At Christmas we are going to go to manta to visit my grandparents, maybe we will spend a week.
and if we have time we will visit some friends. We are going to go to the beach because I like it,
and on Christmas days we are going to have a special dinner, we will invite some family and
friends. If we had more time, we could stay two weeks, but we can’t, my parents have to work,
and I must finish all my school homework.
