Narrative Report of Community/Literacy Mapping

Literacy mapping plays an important role in searching for students that will attend
and take the program of Alternative Learning System (Basic Literacy Program or
Accreditation and Equivalency Test). Before the start of the school year the mobile
teacher in collaboration to the barangay officials and barangay health workers look for
potential students.

On July 1, 2019 Carla B. Ledesma, mobile teacher from Calapan West District
endorsed John Angelo Temple as a new mobile teacher assigned in communal. He also
received the data of potential learners on the said barangay and conduct a simple
interview to the officials and barangay health workers about the potential learners. He
also formally met the learners given by Marivic C. Beloza (District ALS Coordinator) on
that week.

On the next day, July 2, 2019, the mobile teacher went to Barangay Pachoca
with Madam Carla Ledesma to personally have an endorsement. They met the
Barangay Captain named Juanito M. Alveyra and the Secretary of the said Barangay.
After that, the mobile teacher looked for potential learners in Bloc 1 and 2 accompanied
by the BHW. On the same day the mobile teacher also endorsed to Barangay San
Vicente Central. He interviewed the Barangay Nutrition Scholar and find three learners
that is residing on the said barangay.

As part of the mapping and searching for potential learners the mobile teacher
also ask for the mobile number of Barangay captain, councilor in charge for
education/committee on education, Barangay Health Workers and Sangguniang
Kabataan Chairman.

Narrative Report of Advocacy and Social Mobilization (AdSocMob)

The teacher participated in the collection of the books for the mini library of the

barangay. On December 1, 2019 during the regular session the mobile teacher

suggested to take part in the mini library that will also utilized by the ALS learners. The

barangay captain together with the councilors and Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman

designate one office that will be used as library. On March 1, 2020 the mobile teacher

already collected books form his colleagues and formally gave it to the sanggunian. The

mobile teacher continuously making effort to collect books that will proceed to the library

of the barangay.

Narrative Report of Barangay Sessions/FDS/Barangay Meetings

In Alternative Learning System (ALS), we create another bridge to the student who

stop from schooling because of different reasons including poverty. We open another

opportunity equal to that in formal school because we believe that they can graduate too and

see them someday one with their dreams.

On July 24, 2019 as part of the mapping and searching for potential learners the

mobile teacher took the opportunity to speak during the Family Development Session (FDS)

about the recruitment of learners and the part of 4P’s members to enroll their children if not

attending formal schooling. He also emphasizes the importance not only the certificate of

enrollment but the whole education as well. The mobile teacher ask for the assistance and help

of the 4P’s members to look also for another prospect that will enroll in the Alternative Learning

System.
