Dear Parents and Guardians,

A second student at our school has now been diagnosed with COVID-19. We are
praying for the student and their family during this time and wish them a quick recovery.

To ensure everyone’s health and safety—which remains our top priority—we are
working directly with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the public health inspector to
ensure all spaces in our school are thoroughly cleaned and any additional steps taken.
At this time, our school will remain open and we will continue to work directly with and
follow the recommendations of AHS, Alberta Education and the Calgary Emergency
Management Agency.

In the coming days, AHS will determine where the student got the virus and who they
were in contact with; they may speak with your family as part of this process.

To help protect the wellbeing of our students and staff, please keep your child home if
they experience any COVID-19 symptoms (sore throat, runny nose, cough or fever) or
have been out of the country in the last 14 days. Please let the school know that your
child is home because of COVID-19 and take the self-assessment to determine if you or
any member of your family need to be tested.

Thank you for playing a part in keeping our school community safe. If you have
questions, please call the school at 403-500-2077.

Sincerely,

K. Brian Briggs
