Summer vacation. Just the sound of this phrase is already enough to forgo the worries

and bring out the smiles. Guess what? Summer has arrived! After the dusky months of tramping

to office and school, the glorious days beneath the unrelenting sun started. As the water

soothes around your outstretched fingers by the pebbled seashore while having picnics or just

having lazy hazy days, loosen up yourself and unwind with the ultimate round up of songs that

will fit your summer.

1) Cake by the Ocean by DNCE – With its swagging 70’s and R&B tune, Joe Jonas is back

with his new band DNCE. This song has its groovy-rasping punch due to its clapping

chorus and funk-filled jam. A groovy track for you and your friends at the beach party!

2) Lean On by Major Lazer ft. MØ and DJ Snake – An electronic dance music that

became a commercial success and one of the most streamed songs. This has a strong

hook with its signature post chorus and its intoxicating half-speed tempo.

3) Lush Life by Zara Larson – Looks like we can all relate to the lyrics of this song which

says “I live my day as if it was the last, Live my day as if there were no past, Doin’ all

night, all summer, Gonna spend like no other” right? For the few months of summer, this

song will definitely give you the idea and will give you the rush to enjoy summertime at its

best!

4) Roses by Chainsmokers ft. Rozes – Do you remember the one-hit wonder #SELFIE? If

you do, Chainsmokers is back to the music scene with its new captivating and upbeat
 song. This can be seen as a quickly summer anthem with its heavy claps and kick drums

which add crunch to the song.

5) Dazed and Confused by Jake Miller (ft. Travie McCoy) – This pop-rap song which

is about meeting someone that leaves you completely staggered and the music video is

like a trippy dream. This song will definitely bring you to the state of “LSS” or Last Song

Syndrome due to the song’s catchy intro.

6) Hula Hoop by Omi – The “Cheerleader” singer followed up his hit with this

reggae/pop/tropical track that is superb to listen while having a cozy day under the tree

while the sun is shining bright. Have a twist of this now!

7) I Know What You Did Last Summer by Shawn Mendes ft. Camila Cabello – a

soulful, conversational duet about finding out that somebody have been cheating on you

and the song is the best way to confront that person. Listen to this and snuggle up with a

pillow if you want to revive the memories of the person who brought sadness on your

summer.

8) Don’t Look Down by Martin Garrix ft. Usher – This song gives us a radio-friendly

tune with a twist of tropical house beat. Its melodic rhythm will be another summer main

stage beater. Best for beach parties!

9) Summer Love by One Direction - If you had that special someone who left you last

summer and you are still hoping that he/she will come back, this 1D song is the best

sentimental track to if you want to remember those emotional moment that you’ll wish you

could never go back, “Cause you were mine for the summer, now we know it’s nearly over,

feels like no in September but I always will remember”..

10) My House by Flo Rida – with its reggae tune, this hooky track is definitely for those

“stay at home” during summer because as you listen to this song, you’ll be chilled and

relaxed.
