Sub: Addendum Notice for Internship Syllabus of B.Optometry

Appropriate authority has recommended following up-gradation in view of quality improvement of the
Project work of the 4th Year Internship comprising SEM 7 (BO 781) and Sem 8 (BO 881) courses w.e.f 2020-
21 academic year. The suggestions are based on requirement of the employers for understanding the
various training areas under the respective said codes of BO 781 and BO 881 attained by the students
during their internship which in turn provide added advantage to the students for their employability.
The college authority is suggested to incorporate the guidelines and inform the students for their better
understanding.

The details guidelines are as follows:

Assessment: BO 781 After the completion of all the postings the students has to submit one project work
with a total of at least 60 case report submission (10 cases per clinic).

Assessment: BO 881 after completion of the postings the students has to submit a dissertation work based
on any clinical topic relevant to optometry/ophthalmology that will be followed by comprehensive viva
voce.
