Organe de sectionnement et de régulation
adapté spécialement au transit de tous
fluides courants.
Etanchéité totale et permanente dans les

durable sans entretien dans de nombreux
domaines d’utilisation.
■ DESCRIPTION
Corps monobloc standardisé permettant sur sa plati-
ne supérieure l’adaptation des différents types de
commandes normalisées : manuelles, pneumatiques,
hydrauliques et électriques.
Papillon lenticulaire renforcé assurant un minimum de perte de
charge. Un dispositif cannelé permet un repérage parfait de
position de l’axe de manœuvre, et du papillon, par rapport au
levier.
Bague souple, assurant par compression, l’étanchéité
totale et permanente du papillon ainsi que celle des
brides par l’intermédiaire de la partie en relief sur ses
faces latérales, sans concours de tous joints complé-
mentaires.
Axe de manœuvre monobloc en acier inoxydable,
équipé à ses extrémités d’un système original
d’entraînement par cannelures garantissant le
repérage parfait de la position du papillon par
rapport à la position du levier.

■ GENERALITIES
The range of RAMUS resilient Seated Wafer
Pattern Butterfly Valves are designed for use
on general all-purpose applications and are
suitable for both pressure and vacuum services.
They are suitable for flow in either direction
and provide a bulbe tight shut-off in both
directions. Only a quarter turn operation is
needed to fully open or close the valves.
Excellent flow characteristics with a minimum
pressure drop means the valves can be used for
tight shut-off and regulating duties. Good
resistance to corrosion and all sorts of abrasion
in general.
Dimensions are according to ISO 5752 and NF E
29305 specifications.
The valves have been designed for easy instal-
lation between most standard pipe flanges
(Viz. DIN, ASA and BST) within their pressure
range. Easy mounting at pipe ends by standard
flanges for temporary circuit cut-off.
Fitting of all types of standard manual pneu-
matic, hydraulic and electric operators are
according to ISO 5210/1 5211/1 - NF E 29401
and NF E 29402 specifications.
The body and shaft are isolate from the flow
by the seat.
The simplicity of design and only a few moving
parts provide a long service without
maintenance.
■ MAIN PARTS
Standard one-piece body with top mounting
flange suitable for easy assembly of manual,
pneumatic, hydraulic or electric operators.
Robust profiled disc ensuring a minimum pressure
drop across the valve. The disc has a splined connection
to the shaft providing absolutely positive disc control.
Resilient seat ensuring a bubble tight shut-off a full pressure
rating. The seat effects a perfect seal between the valve body and
pipe flanges negating the necessity for additional flange gaskets.
One-piece stainless steel shaft assembly with
a splined drive providing both positive and
precise operation of the valve in relation to
the valve operator.

Entretien

Maintenance
If it is necessary to replace any
internal component of the
RAMUS valve, the flange bolts
must be loosened and a suffi-
cient number removed to allow
the valve to be lifted out of the
line (note : the valve disc must
be in the closed or nearly clo-
sed position before removal of
the valve from the line).
Remove the valve operator from
the shaft end and then withdraw
the one-piece shaft. Push the
disc edgewise out of the body
and then push the seat out of
the body.
Clean all parts in contact
without using a solvent and then
re-assemble the valve in the
reverse order. However, please
note the carefully the orientation
of the seat and disc in relation to
the body and positioning of the
shaft end.
We advise proper storage pro-
tection for the type VPR valve
against solar radiation, excessi-
ve temperatures and cold wea-
ther.
As per normal practise, we
