INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to this the online training of Hardware System Servicing! This Qualification consists of
competencies that must possess namely: install and configure computers systems, maintain and repair
computer systems, it is base from the competency standard of Computer System Servicing NCII as
prescribe by the TESDA program. This module seeks to provide student with the knowledge, skills and
attitude in the field of hardware system and servicing.
In this course, you will be introducing to different learning activities preparing you to be skillful
before you take the plunge into the world of work as a hardware service provider and to feel more confident
while providing support where needed. Indeed, as learners of hardware system and servicing, you are a
crucial link in the emergency response process, ideally, everyone should know what to do in an emergency
situation, proper training can help an individual provide basic care.
This module I specifically crafted to focus on install and configure computers systems, maintain and
repair computer systems with hands-on activities that will assess your level in terms of skills and knowledge.
Learning procedures are divided in to different section such as: Information Sheet, Self-Check/Quizzes, Task
Sheet, and Job sheet. Examine and perform the suggested task to practice developing a sustainable program
prioritizing needs and building vision.
So, explore and experience this module and be a step closer to being a computer hardware service
provider.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this module, you should be able to:
1. Install and Configure Computer Systems
Assemble and Disassemble computer system
Install operating system and drivers for peripherals/device
Install Different types of application software
2. Maintain and Repair Computer Systems
Plan and prepare for maintenance and repair
Diagnose faults of computer systems networks and Rectify/correct defect in computer
systems and networks
Inspect and test the computer systems and networks
