I think the girl on the left is:

1. Who in your family do you take after in personality? What is/she like?

I like my big sister's personality. She's very serious and funny at the same time. I
like her personality because she's a strong person despite any problems. Besides,
she's very hard-working and independent because her profession has been
achieved in case her own effort. My sister also generates her own income and can
buy whatever she wants, she can buy food, go on a trip because she doesn't support
anyone and so it is happy.
2. Which of your friends is most different from you in personality? What is he/she
like?
My friend's name is Tamia, she's very different from me because I'm outgoing and
funny and she's very shy and talks about things different from me She even though
she is shy is very sociable because she can make friends very easily, but I can't do
that because when I know someone I'm quiet.

AN INFORMAL ONLINE ADVERT

a) Write an advert. Choose one of these situations.

✓ You´re organising charity work and you want to take on some volunteers to help
you.

FOLLOW THIS PLAN

1) Give a heading to draw attention to the advert.

2) Describe the situation (the job, your plans, etc…)

✓ First we will give training to volunteer in the organization.

✓ Then the activities will be distributed to the different volunteer.

✓ Then the groups will be distributed in different strategic places for them
to carry out their tasks as flip-offs. For example they have to go to
communities, to the countryside, to Millennium Schools.

✓ Finally volunteers must be in designated locations for a weekend for them

to help in everything that is needed.

3) Say what a kind of person you´re looking for.

I need people 18 years and older. I would like to find people who like to work,
also who are responsible people and who love what they do. They also have to be
people who don't mind traveling far in order to help those who need it.

a) Imagine you are in the photo. How do you feel? What can you see, hear, smell,
feel?

If I were in the photo or at the photo site, I would be afraid for the cougar but if
the animal wasn't there, I'd smell the scent of nature I would really enjoy plants
and trees. In addition, I would listen to the sound of the birds and the rest of the
animals and I would feel excited because I would be in a quiet place that generates
a lot of peace and I would forget about the problems for a moment.

b) How much do you know about this animal?

I don't know much about this animal but:

1. Where does it live?

The jaguar usually lives in Africa.

2. What does it eat?

This animal is carnivorous so it feeds on other animals that are weaker than it.

3. Is it dangerous?

This animal is dangerous because it is a wild animal and if the proper

precautions are not taken, anyone can die from an attack by this animal.

4. Is it endangered?? Why/Why not?

The jaguar is a species that is in danger of extinction, mainly due to factors

such as the destruction or drastic modification of its habitat, poaching and
predation.
c) Is protecting the environment and endangered animals important to you? If
so, what kind of things are you about it?

Yes it is, because for me it is very important to protect the environment because I
think it is an environment that allows us to have a healthy life but thanks to
pollution and hunting, the environment has been destroyed.

To save the environment I reuse some things, for example:

✓ I keep water, I do not throw garbage on the street,

✓ I prefer to walk than use another means of transport that emits smoke and to save
endangered species

✓ I would encourage people so that they know the importance of caring for species
 a) Plan an essay on an environmental issue. Choose one of the topics below or

The main points for me are:

✓ Why air pollution is caused
✓ The health effects of air pollution

b) Compare your ideas with a partner.

The ideas are different because my partner chose the topic wasting food
c) Write the essay. Use the structure in 3a. Use signposting expressions to organize
your ideas. Make you communicate directly with the reader in the introduction
and conclusion.

Access Restricted Air pollution is a problem that affects everyone. This is not current,
pollution has always existed and above all it has affected the air because as the years have
passed the cities have become more urbanized and the environment, that is to say nature
has been exploited, for example trees have been cut down, the use of cars has increased,
more garbage is thrown away and it is not recycled.

Also it is produced by different factors such as: industrial processes, forest fires, garbage
burning, car use, among, and others. The problem has not been fully contained; today we
see problems such as the increase in temperature in certain places that were not previously
caused by global warming; the gradual melting of the glaciers over the years, the
destruction of the ozone layer, etc.

It is difficult to escape air pollution, no matter where you live. It's all around us. Air
pollutants can overcome our body's defenses and penetrate deep into our respiratory and
circulatory systems, damaging our lungs, heart and brain. It is mentioned that since human
life has existed, pollution has existed only in different proportions and carried out by
different means which harm the air and threaten all life on the planet. This pollution
increased since man began to develop methods and ways to improve his lifestyle as well
as to satisfy his needs and have more comforts without realizing what would be triggered
by having more development and satisfying his needs.

But what should we do to avoid air pollution? for example, to reduce pollution from cars
and other contaminants, the following suggestions would be made: use bicycles more, do
not use the car when you go to a place nearby, when you go shopping, if you are going to
buy few things use public transportation, try to be aware of the days of arrival of the
garbage, if there are things at home like toys that can be donated do not burn them but
donate or give them to whoever needs them you can reuse.

I conclude with this work that it is important to be aware and to make known what air
pollution is, which will serve to make people aware of how to contribute to the
improvement of the air. I believe that one of the ways to contribute as a student is to make
known how to help improve the air we breathe to bring a better quality of life, this can be
achieved by sensitizing people to see that we are still as people or I am in time to help
change the future of our world.
