Job description [Mechanics]

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on


equipment such as lube and oil change, engine
tune up, filter changes, brake inspections, exhaust
system replacement;
• Perform numerous semi-skilled and skilled
maintenance and repair operations on motor
vehicles, construction equipment, grounds-
keeping and sludge hauling equipment;
• Disassemble and reassemble various
mechanical components and systems;
• Perform minor electrical system trouble
shooting and repair on a variety of equipment;
• Perform mechanical repairs to vehicles through
proper and safe use of equipment lifting and
restraining devices, exhaust ventilation
equipment and related safety devices;
• Operate engine analyzer to locate and repair
mechanical problems;
• Install radio and safety equipment on vehicles;
