Ferry Boat Service between

Karachi Port and Chahbahar Port Finalised

A
10 member delegation representing
various ministries and departments
including KPT like FIA, Anti Narcotics,
PNSC, Customs, Immigration, etc visited the
KPT Head Office on 28th July 2016 to discuss
commencement of ferry service between
Karachi Port (Pakistan) and Chahbahar Port
(Iran). All the stakeholders related to the project
including KPT attended the meeting which was
chaired by KPT General Manager Operations
Rear Admiral Asif Hameed SI (M).
All the issues related to the matter including
the security issues came under discussion
during the presentation given on the occasion
by the Planning and Development Division of
KPT. The procurement of ferry vessels is already
underway by the PNSC and its present status
was also informed to Rear Admiral Asif Hameed
SI (M) during the discussions.
Later, the delegation visited the port area
of Karachi Port where the ferry terminal will be
constructed.
