Infosys’ Education & Research Department initiated programs
Infosys has consistently demonstrated its commitment to
environment-friendly practices. There are around 22,000
saplings in and around the Infosys - Mysore campus. Infosys
has also adopted rain-harvesting techniques and has an in-
house water treatment plant to conserve water.
The Infosys Foundation and Infosys’ employees are also
working for the under-privileged and deprived sections of
society in Mysore.
Their initiatives include:
• Setting up libraries in Mysore’s rural schools
• Restoration of the Jayalaxmi Vilas Mansion to protect
Mysore’s heritage
• Donating hi-tech surgical equipment to hospitals
• Donating an ambulance to the Biligiri Rangana Betta
tribal area
• Constructing a block at the tribal hospital in HD Kote
• Rehabilitating women at the Shakthidhama Destitute
Center for Women
The generation of indirect employment opportunities, especially
for women from economically-weak sections, has been our
significant contribution to Mysore.

like the Rural Reach Program, Train the Trainer, Catch Them
Young and Campus Connect.
• The day-long Rural Reach Program is organized at rural
schools in and around Mysore to teach computer basics

• The Train the Trainer program educates teachers on the
latest trends and technologies in the IT industry.
• Catch Them Young allows bright, young students from
schools in and around Mysore, to undergo basic computer
training in programming language for 15 days during their
summer vacation.The best students get to work on a small,

• Campus Connect is a joint program conducted along with
engineering colleges to align the curriculum to the dynamic
requirements of the software industry.

The more you give, the happier you are!
SOFTEN is a voluntary group of Myfoscions, formed to reach
out to the needy. Their activities include:
• Providing basic facilities and other teaching aids to
under-privileged schools
• Educating parents of wards on the importance of schooling
• Donating clothes, and other utility items to orphanages
and old-age homes

Amphitheater: The amphitheater at the periphery
