1. Q :- What is Levelplast?

A: - Levelplast is a white cement based , water resistant base

coat/plaster for leveling the surface and provides a protective base to
your walls as well as expensive paints.

2. Q :- What are the main constituents of Levelplast ?

A:- Levelplast mainly consists of Birla White Cement, high quality

polymers, Mineral fillers and specialty chemicals

3. Q :- How Birla White Levelplast is water resistant?

A:- Levelplast is made of White cement and special Polymers so it is

water resistant

4. Q :- In what form Levelplast is available?

A:- . Level plast is available in dry free flowing powder form.

5. Q :- In which all packing BW Levelplast is available ?

A:- 5 kg, 20 kg

6. Q :- What is the shelf life of BW Levelplast ?

A:- 6 months

7. Q :- What are advantages of BW Levelplast over POP (Plaster Of

Paris)/Gypsum?
A:-
• Levelplast is water resistant
• Can be applied on moist surfaces
• Reduces the cracks
• Protects the subsequent costly paints and hence adds durability to
paints
• Less wastage compared to POP
• Can be applied on external surfaces also
8. Q What is pot life of Birla White Levelplast pot life?
A :- 30 minutes

9. Q :-Which are the substitutes of Levelplast ?

A:- Plaster of Paris (POP), Plaster, Gypsum Plaster etc.,

10. Q :- Customer is using Lime rendering / patra POP can we recommend

Levelplast?
A:- Yes it can be recommended

11. Q :- What is the quantity of water to be added in 20 kg BW Levelplast

for covering undulations in wall surface up to 12 mm?

A:- 28to 30% of water to be added to Levelplast.

12. Q :- What is maximum thickness we can apply Levelplast?

A:- It can be applied even up to 40 mm, by layers but more the thickness
it becomes uneconomic. Normal thickness is 8 to 12 mm.

13. Q :- How many coats of Levelplast are applied on the surface before
painting?
A:- It depends upon the undulations in the base surface. Generally
two coats are given followed by one or two coats of Wall Care Putty
(SF).

14. Q :- Are there any Indian standards for Levelplast ?

Ans: As of now there are no Indian Standards (Codes)

15. Q :- What is the life of Levelplast ?

A:- Levelplast once applied becomes part of plaster/wall. So as long
as the base surface (plaster/wall) stays the Levelplast stays on the wall.

16. Q :- What is the costing of Levelplast?

 A:- Costing depends upon the evenness of base surface and also on the
thickness of Levelplast.
17. Q :- Can any Mason/Painter apply Levelplast ?

A:- The product levelplast is easy to apply however one needs to take
precaution in mixing and application.

18. Q :- Can we apply paint directly over Levelplast?

A:- One to two coats of Wall Care Putty (SF) is required over Levelplast
before paint application.

19. Q :- Is primer required during painting process?

A:- No primer is required as Wall Care Putty is adhesion properties

20. Q :- Can we apply directly over Concrete Surface specially for Ceiling?

A:- Yes Levelplast can be directly applied over concrete surface. Even no
hacking of surface is required. Care to be taken while surface preparation
like if any grease/oil over the concrete to be properly cleaned. Generally
shuttering material are applied with deshuttering oil which stays on the
concrete surface. This needs to be cleaned thoroughly before Levelplast
application

21. Q :- Can I use Levelplast on a damp wall?

A:- Yes. Levelplast has a unique formulation which makes it suitable
for damp wall.

22. Q :-What type of surface is ideal for applying Levelplast?

A :- It could be rough plaster. Levelplast can be applied directly on
block work/ Brickwork and on cement concrete surface.

23. Q :- Do we need to cure the surface before applying Level plast?

A:- Surface should be pre-wetted prior to application. This helps in
providing a strong bond with substrate.

24. Q :- Does Levelplast provide a breathable surface?

A:-Yes. Levelplast provides a breathable surface and allows any trapped
moisture to move out keeping the wall dry and clean.
25. Q :- Can we apply Levelplast instead of Wall Care Putty?
A:- NO After application of Levelplast, we need to apply Wall Care
Putty to finish the surface. Levelplast is not a substitute of Wall Care
Putty.

26. Q :- Does Levelplast require curing after application?

A :-Curing is not required for Levelplast after application.

27. Q :-. What is the ideal coverage of Levelplast?

A:- Although coverage would depend on surface quality, in general,
coverage for Levelplast for thickness of 8mm is 20 sqft./ 20 kg. Bag.

28. Q :- Is it helpful to use stirrer for mixing Levelplast for application?

A:- Yes. Use of stirrer to mix Levelplast and water is recommended
for proper mixing.

29. Q :-. Is Levelplast suitable for external application?

A:- Levelplast is suitable for external as well as internal application.
