Technical Note Mini-M - 306X.

Description: Some AUX phone’s will not ring on a incoming call. And some fax’s will not “go
off hook” / answer a incoming call.

Background: Due to a change in the SLIC circuit , ( SLIC IC L3000N is discontinued )

the ringing voltage is reduced.
The change is made from PL 60-106993-AF and PL 60-110497-J.

Action: In order to increase the ringing voltage the transistor Q 1909 has to be removed and a link
between the -44 VDC and the -24 VDC has to be made. Fig. 4. ( Q1909 ).
This will cause the voltage to increase to -44 VDC.
In order for the SLIC circuit to handle the increase in voltage, the transistors has to be replaced.

In order to increase the ringing voltage remove Q1909, and make a link between
the -44 VDC and the -24 VDC.

according to the below diagram.
