Crtitical thinking execrises:

1. What is your personal view of health education? relate this to the process of change.

Maintaining good health is an objective most people find appealing. Achieving this objective
requires some knowledge and technical skills. Health education is crucial because it allows people to
recognize themselves. Health education includes all elements of health, such as environment, mental
wellbeing and overall fitness. There are several ways to spread diseases, when a healthy person comes
into contact with infectious patients through cross-infections and gout infections. Personal hygiene is
important. Hand washing is necessary as we should also do most of the time especially the children should
be taught on how to wash their hands properly. We should adapt our old custom of greeting old people by
saying “po” and “opo”. The people keep their home sterile, but they don't take responsibility for their climate
and public facilities. They argue that this isn't our responsibility. It's the government job to employ people
for this job, but as at least part of the population we cannot scatter garbage there and here. Maximum visits
in the hospitals should be discouraged because patient immunity is poor during recovery treatment. For the
fast recovery, minimum relatives should be present, which is why the hospital has strict minimum guest
policy. Everybody should know the motives. Health education seeks to explain 'prevention is better than
cure' to all. Mental well-being, by providing emotional support, is also significant. Family is the first
environment in which children learn how to react under challenging situations. Health education is an
increasingly relevant subject that needs to be dealt with in detail.

To sum up my perspective, it seems to me that health education provides knowledge and skills for
individuals and allows them to take constructive steps to their wellbeing. The knowledge of physical,
physiological, emotional and social wellbeing is deepened in health education. It helps young people to
improve their health, avoid diseases and discourage harmful habits. It is an important part of the promotion
of wellbeing. You just need to do what to do to accomplish your objectives. Health education brings this
awareness to individuals.
2. As a Medical Technologist student, you are going to handle a group of learners in the community
who are used to traditional and supernatural healing techniques. What change strategies will you use
and why?

As a Medical Technologist student, it seems to me that the power-coercive strategy is the best
strategy to use, for the reason that I’m still a student and I want them to learn the appropriate and effective
techniques. As a leader, it’s important for me to understand that there are laws in place that needs to
abide. I will educate them what are the best and safest way to do, how they’re going to do it, and when
how the work needs to be done. I will not risk any of my learners by doing such healing technique thing, for
the reason that safety awareness comes first in this strategy. It is expected for them to follow my order in
time and have no excuses of doing it within the workplace or else they’ll get a punishment. They need to
concentrate of what they’re doing hundred percent to complete the work immediately. In this manner, it will
improve their efficiency and their performance that will lead to productivity.
