What is Waveform?

Time waveform analysis is the process of

studying the waveform data in order to look for
patterns that may indicate a fault
condition. Time waveforms show precisely how
the vibration changed from one split-second to
the next

Low speed machines (typically less than 100 RPM).
• Indication of true amplitude in situations where impacts occur – i.e., in the assessment of
rolling element bearing defect severity.
