Ancillary drive belt: removal/installation

Removal
Remove the engine upper cover

Remove the activated charcoal filter from its holder

Note: Do not disconnect the lines

Note: At removal, mark the direction of rotation; when refitting ensure the drive belt rotates in the same
direction
Turn the tensioner clockwise

Lock the tensioner; use a locking pin T10060A

Remove the ancillary drive belt

Note: At removal, mark the direction of rotation; when refitting ensure the drive belt rotates in the same

Note: Check that the direction of travel is as marked
Turn the tensioner clockwise
Installation sequence:

Vehicles without air conditioning:

Crankshaft

Alternator drive pulley

Tensioner

Vehicles with air conditioning:

Crankshaft

Air-conditioning compressor pulley

Alternator drive pulley

Tensioner
Lock the tensioner; use a locking pin T10060A

All vehicles:

Release the tensioner

Remove the locking pin T10060 A

Start the engine

Check the tensioner and/or the belt for correct fitting

Refit the activated charcoal filter
