The Institute provides lecture halls well equipped with modern audio-visual aids, Library well
stocked with books, journals and periodicals and well-equipped Computer Lab with latest soft-
ware and hardware together with Internet facility.
The Institute provides an environment where faculties constantly engage themselves in creating
innovative teaching methodologies, involving the students in real life work environment and en-
couraging them to develop their potential to face the business challenges lying ahead.
The Institute is also contemplating starting part-time diploma courses in the evening for working
executives and short period certificate courses for executives in SSIs, Foreign Exchange Risk Man-
agement, Communication and presentation Skills, Negotiating Skills, Leadership, ISO 9001:2008

At ‘Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management
Studies and Research’ (VESIMSR), we uphold the Ethos and
Values of Indian management system coupled with the science,
knowledge and technology of western education leading to
creation of a pool of global Indian managers who excel under
any circumstances including that of the highly dynamic global
business environment. By offering personal mentoring, psy-
chometric analysis, yoga practices, availability of excellent li-
brary with digital knowledge database, state-of-the-art com-
puter lab and focused attention on every individual student.
We ensure to tap the hidden potential in each individual
student and inculcate in the students the habit of lateral and innovative thinking, reading habit,
research orientation, decision making capability along with nurturing and developing physical
and mental strength to sustain and excel under any situation.
Our faculty is a blend of youth and experience and most of them are with a wealth of actual field
experience from corporate world backed up by academic experience so that application oriented
knowledge can be imparted to the students with lots of live real life examples from their corpo-
rate experience, simulation and working in live projects with business organizations as part of
the learning process. Over and above the subjects that are part of the Mumbai University syllabus,
lot of certificate courses on contemporary emerging subjects and practices adopted by the busi-
ness organizations like Six Sigma, ISO 9000, Supply Chain Management, e-commerce, ERP/SPSS &
Banking workshop, Excel workshop are carried out to add additional management knowledge
and mentoring to the students who get a better cutting edge and competitive advantage over the
management students of other Institutes.
A separate ‘Personality Development workshop’ including spoken English, etiquettes, table man-
ners, body language, stress management, dressing, voice modulation, transaction analysis,
presentation skill etc. are imparted to the students to enable them to compete better with the
students of other Management Institutes. We concentrate on the all-round ‘Holistic development’
of our students in all aspects thereby enabling them to acquire the competency to deliver efficient
and effective use of knowledge in practical real life situations furthering the performance excel-
lence of the students in the organizations they join and add value from the first day to their exist-
ing system.
We have applied for affiliation with Mumbai University for PhD centre. We already have a Re-
search cell involved in publication of Research Journals and undertaking research programs for
industries and NGOs.
I would like to conclude my message with a quotation from Swami Vivekanand’s saying – “We
want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is
expanded and by which one can stand on one’s own feet”.

The institute aims in creating a world class environment for tomorrow’s leaders. There is no

more than 15 years of experience in teaching in leading business management Institutes like
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and Research, S.P.Jain Institute of Manage-
ment Studies and Research (Dubai, Singapore Campus), K.J.Somaiya Institute of Management
Studies and Research etc.
His Clientage as a leading management consultant includes Pipayav Shipping Ltd, Future
Groups, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, L&T Ltd Aditya Birla Group, TATA Group, HR Johnson Ltd,
Dr. Reddy’s.He is nominated as governing board of supply Chain Asia headquarter at Singa-
pore.
This year he was one of the three members on Jury board for Aditya Birla Group of Companies
for selection of winner for WCM. He was also invited as “Chief Guest” and “Key note Speakers”
for seminar “cashlog” for the same group.He is a PhD Guide for various leading Universities

College has a well-equipped computer lab with latest software and
hardware with 24 hr. broadband and Wi-Fi connectivity.
AUDITORIUM
The institute has a state of the art auditorium with a seating capacity of 120 people. It provides
the right ambience and platform for holding seminars, workshops and conferences.
LIBRARY
Library has a large collection of books and journals. It also has a re-
pository of past summer and final projects. Most of the functions
and services of the library are automated. It has separate Audio –
Visual material comprising of Audio cassettes, video cassettes, CDs
and dissertations. Library has a treasure of works on Vedanta and
Philosophy. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi facility.
HOSTEL FACILITY
Hostel facilities for both Boys and Girls are available. Hostel is well-equipped with facilities
such as sports room, meditation room and Canteen.
CANTEEN
VESIMSR has a canteen with sufficient seating arrangement. The
canteen serves a variety of dishes to match every taste. It also fol-
lows high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
VEDANTA ROOM
The Vedanta Room is like synonymous to an oasis where minds can relax before embarking on
the day’s tasks and routines. The place aids the meeting of the mind with the soul, be it prac-
ticing the ancient science of yoga or mediation or attending seminars on mind and body, the
Vedanta Room is an abode of peace and joy.

LIFE AT VESIMSR
VESIMSR, like every top-notch B-School has a unique culture, handed down from one batch of
students to the other. It believes in over all development of students. We at VESIMSR believe in
balancing theory and practical training. During the course duration we take our students for
industrial visits. Industry interface enables students to analyse and understand the ever
changing dynamics of the industry. Snapshots of some of the events are as follows:
HR SUMMIT
The HR summit is a confluence of the industry experts who address the students on changing
role of HR practices in today’s world. Students and faculty from various institutes attend the
Summit and there is an exchange of thoughts and ideas for the fast- changing future. It com-
prises of presentations by individual speakers along with a panel discussion.
CHAITAINYA
CHAITANYA is a management festival hosted by VESIMSR. Over the years there has been over-
whelming participation from various top management institutes. Chaitanya includes events
encompassing various aspects of management and real corporate life. It is an avenue for future
managers to unleash their talents before setting their feet in the corporate world.

Some of the events of Chaitanya:
Case Study Competition, Business Quiz, Mock Stock, Press Conference, Ad Mad Show, New Product
Development and there are some sports events as well.
SPORTS DAY
At VESIMSR, we organize a sports event every year before our Annual Day function. We play Out-
door games such as Cricket, Football, Athletics, and Volley Ball etc. And Indoor games such as Ta-
ble Tennis, Carom and Chess etc. The Matches are generally held between seniors and juniors,
supported by all the staff members. It is a week event and at the final day we have prize distribu-
tion Ceremony.
GLIMPSES
The college celebrates its foundation day "Glimpses" on the last Saturday of January every year.
The event revolves around a specific theme based on which students showcase their talents in
various activities like dance, drama, comedy and music.
BANKING WORKSHOP
VESIMSR organizes a 2-day Banking workshop in the month of February. The primary aim of the
workshop was to help the students understand the various aspects of banking and also to enable
them to interact with industry experts in various domains in banking.
CONGRUENCE
Congruence is an annual management event held in the month of February every year. The event
focuses on industry-student interface, every year a theme is chosen relevant to the present busi-
ness scenario and changing market trends. The theme for 2010 was Marketing Marathon and the
event saw the top experts from varied fields of marketing, who shared their years of invaluable
experience with the students.
