Objective:
The following activity will demonstrate how students value the history of Philippine
architecture by identifying the traits that influenced the evolution of architectural styles from the
primitive time and by making a visual comparative analysis on the present period.
Directions:
As per discussion under the category of the earliest types of dwellings in the Philippines
(Cave, Lean-to, Tree houses and Other Types of dwellings), Select 5 images of structures evident
TODAY or in the present time here in the Philippines (Internet photos or live photos in your
community) that resembles the influence of the earliest types of dwellings. Identify which type and
location. (Include source if taken as internet file).
