1 DESCRIPTION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

The UCP landing board makes possible a decentralized communication with

control system board through the CAN0 communication channel (Shaft
CAN) of the different devices of signalling, detection, etc. (Peripherals)
located at the floor. The main advantages derived from the use of this
decentralized system are the reduction of the shaft wiring, reduction of the
mounting time, smaller maintenance and the easiness of the installation.
Besides the CAN communication bus, the system has the TEACH IN signal
used for the control system and the landing board to carry out the shaft
copying.

Due to the fact that it is a decentralized system, the momentary

disconnection of any landing board or the possibility of having short-circuit
at any output or a bad functioning of the board are situations that do not
cause a bad functioning of the rest of the system.

At the level of connectors, the compatibility with existing Peripherals have

been maintained, such as LIP4, LIP6, LUMPROG, lanterns, etc. (standard
CMC3).

For installations with double access, the system has two configurations
according to the needs: a distributed double access using a UCP board per
each access or a centralized double access using a board per floor.

For the control of different functions, the UCO incorporates a micro-

processor RENESAS R8C/23 of reduced dimensions and low cost. The
micro-processor constantly analyses the information generated by the
Peripherals devices and it sends such information to the control system by
the CAN bus in order to be processed. Likewise, the micro-processor
analyses the orders received from the control system and it interprets them
to act over the connected peripheral devices.

 The necessary power supply of 24V for the functioning of the inside
electronics of the board and for the power supply of the peripheral devices
connected to it;
 CAN H and CAN L are differential signals with great immunity to the Boise

 TEACH_IN. Signal sent by the UCM, it runs all the UCP in “chain” mode and
that means the output of a connected one to the input of the next one. It is
used to make the automatic teach-in of the shaft installation.

CN2. CAN OUTPUT

Male connector AMP 5 pins p3.96mm.

The signals, except TEACH_OUT, are the same ones as CN1 in this case of output
towards to next board.
 TEACH_OUT, signal sent by the UCP to the next board to make the
automatic teach-in of the shaft installation. It has individual protection of
short-circuit and the output remains “disarmed” when detecting short-
circuit, and it remains inactive until such condition disappears and the
micro orders its activation again.

CN4. ARROWS

Male connector AMP 5 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 Necessary DS and DB Outputs, together with GND to activate the Arrows,
they are active at high level. By default, these outputs have limiting
resistances included at the board (R50, R51) of 3K3 to act over devices of
LEDs. In case of using devices with bulbs, it is necessary to change the
value of these resistances for 0 Ohm.
 Additional GND for power supply of devices, Example: GONG.
 Activation output of GONG. It activates at high level.
Additionally, the DS, DB and GONG outputs have short-circuit individual protection.
The output is “disarmed” when detecting the short-circuit condition and the output
remains inactive until such condition disappears and the micro orders its activation
again.

CN5. FSRV

Male connector AMP 3 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 FS Input for connection together with +24V of latch key out of order. The
activation of the function is carried out by contact closing.
 Register output out of order. By default, this output has limiting resistance
included at the board (R49) of 3K3 to act over the devices of the LEDs. In
case of using devices with bulbs, it is necessary to change its value for 0
Ohm. There is an additional joint short-circuit protection for this output

together with the PRESENCE register and VIP register (group 1).A short-
circuit in any of these three outputs deactivates the complete group, which
is reactivated when disappearing the short-circuit condition.

CN6. PRESENCE

Male connector AMP 3 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 Input for connection together with +24V of the presence contact of landing
door. The contact is closed with closed door.
 Output for presence register. By default, this output has limiting resistance
included at the board (R48) of 3K3 to act over the devices of the LEDs. In
case of using devices with bulbs, it is necessary to change its value for 0
0hm. This output shares the short-circuit protection of the group 1.

CN8. VIP

Male connector AMP 3 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 Input of preferential call for connection together with +24V of VIP latch key.
The activation of the function is carried out by contact closing.
 VIP Register Output. By default, this output has limiting resistance included
at the board (R40) of 3K3 to act over devices of LEDs. In case of using
devices with bulbs (≤3W), it is necessary to change its value for 0 0hm.
This output shares the short-circuit protection of the group 1.

CN7. FIRE

Male connector AMP 4 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 Input for connection of firemen latch key together with +24V. The activation
is due to contact closing.
 Additional GND for the power supply of the fire sensor;
 Input of fire sensor. For the fire condition, it is necessary for the sensor to
activate this input with +24V.

CN9. BACK GO UPWARDS CALL

Connector AMP 4 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 Input for connection together with +24V of back go upwards call push-
button.

 Corresponding register output. By default, this output has limiting

resistance included at the board (R71) of 3K3 to act over devices of LEDs.
In case of using devices with bulbs (≤3W), it is necessary to change its
value for 0 0hm. There is an additional joint short-circuit protection for this
output together with back go downwards register, front register go upwards
and front go downwards register (group 2), a short-circuit in any of these
four outputs deactivates the complete group that is reactivated when
disappearing the short-circuit condition.

CN10. BACK GO DOWNWARDS CALL

The same as the CN9 for back call to go downwards. To act over devices with bulbs
(≤3W), it is necessary to replace the resistance R72 of 3K3 for other of 0 ohm. This
output shares the short-circuit protection of the group 2.

CN11. FRONT GO UPWARDS CALL

The same as the CN9 for front call to go upwards. To act over devices with bulbs
(≤3W), it is necessary to replace the resistance R73 of 3K3 for other of 0 Ohm. This
output shares the short-circuit protection of the group 2.

CN12. FRONT GO DOWNWARDS CALL

The same as the CN9 for front call to go downwards. To act over devices with bulbs
(≤3W), it is necessary to replace the resistance R74 of 3K3 for other of 0 Ohm. This
output shares the short-circuit protection of the group 2.

CN13. POSITION INDICATOR

Male connector AMP 3 pins p2.54mm.

It has the following signals:
 +24V and GND for power supply of series luminous or LCD TKE.
 Output of data with two functioning modes: mode LS when a series
luminous is connected or mode PIU when a LCD TKE is connected. This
output has short-circuit individual protection; the output remains
“disarmed” when detecting short-circuit, and the output remains inactive
until such condition disappears and the micro orders its activation again.

CN14. CANCEL FLOOR

Male connector AMP 2 pins p2.54mm.

It has an input for connection together with +24V of floor cancellation latch key. This
signal is activated at high level.
