Greetings!

We, Tongonan Farmers Association (TOFA), would like to request your good office for
assistance in expanding our existing Coffee plantation at Brgy. Tongonan, Ormoc City, Leyte.
As part of the Energy Development Corporation’s (EDC) Corporate Social Responsibility
Program to help us farmers by providing means for livelihood, EDC engaged TOFA and
established around 3.0 hectares coffee plantation several years back. In 2018, the coffee trees
started fruiting.

TOFA proposed to use and augment this small demo farm by establishing additional 35
hectares of coffee and cacao plantation so as to make it a more sustainable enterprise for us
farmers, thus this request. We will appreciate it very much if you can help provide us with
10,000 coffee and 15,000 cacao seedlings for the augmentation of our plantation until 2021.

Looking forward to your favourable response on our request and rest assured that
whatever support you will extend to us will be properly put into use and it will produce good
results and will benefit all the association members.
