As we transition to the new Asterion line, we are providing a series of End of Life (EOL) notices
for Elgar CW and California Instruments i/iX, RP, and Ls/Lx product lines. This notice outlines
the current EOL products, recommended replacements, and last time order date for the
discontinued models.

• Last time shipment date: 12/31/2019. Keep in mind these products will not be converted
for RoHS compliance.
• The California Instruments Asterion AC Series is the suggested replacement product.

California Instruments Asterion AC Series Features:

• iX2 current doubling technology provides up to two times the maximum output current as
the output voltage decreases.
• Intuitive touch panel interface offers easy to use local control.
• Lower cost ATE version available for applications where power supply will be solely
controlled by remote digital or analog interface.
• Higher power density than its predecessor, Asterion offers up to 3 kVA in a 2U package.
• New Virtual Panels software allows remote programming from a PC.
We realize discontinuing a product that has been on the market for a long time can cause
issues for existing customers that have designed these products into their test systems. We
plan to work with these customers as best we can to facilitate transitioning to the newer and
more cost-effective Asterion AC Series. Please work with your reps to identify and notify these
types of customers, including any OEM customers.
