Dear Mr. President,
‘Thank you for your service to our nation and for your continued efforts to keeping the promises
you have made to the American people. Throughout your time in office, you have nominated
hundreds of qualified individuals to federal courts, who are intent on following the text of the
Constitution as originally intended by our founding fathers. These men and women who have
been confirmed, including two Supreme Court justices and 214 Article III judges, will have a
lasting effect on American history.
We write to you today to encourage you to nominate Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme
Court of the United States. After working as a Notre Dame law professor for 15 years, Ms.
Barrett was nominated and confirmed to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals with bipartisan
support in the U.S. Senate. In the vetting process for this judgeship, both Judge Barrett’s
colleagues and students at Notre Dame expressed great confidence in her abilities to carry out
her duties on one of our nation’s highest courts.
We are confident that Judge Barrett, if nominated and confirmed to the Supreme Court, will
respect and defend the original text of the U.S. Constitution, as intended by America’s founding
fathers. Her presence and critical vote on our nation’s highest court will help restore the balance
of the separation of powers between the executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
Thank you for your consideration of Judge Amy Coney Barrett for the Supreme Court of the
United States. We eagerly anticipate your selection this weekend,
Sincerely,
Andy Biggs Fim Banks
