HIV AND AIDS

Today, I would like to inform you all about HIV, Human immunodeficiency virus, and aids, acquired
immune deficiency syndrome. The hiv (human immunodeficiency virus) it destroys the human immunity
system. This virus causes the aids (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) an incurable disease. This disease is
caused by the viruses which prevents formation of the wbc’s, white blood corpuscles, a contituent of bood
which are responsible for our immunity. Destroying the wbc’s and preventing their formation, human natural
immunity that is power to fight against diseases is gradually extinct, and making the body prone to various
diseases. My goal today is to inform you of how the virus is constructed, symptoms of this diseases, and most
importantly, the best way to go about taking more preacautions into preventing this fatal disease.

Aids is preceeded by hiv infection. Hiv can only transmitted in three different ways, the first is through
sexual contact. This is the common way hiv is constracted. It can be passed when an infected person has vaginal
or anal intercourse with another. The second way is through the exchange of blood. Hiv can also be constructed
through blood transfusions. Now blood transfusion are for safer now than they were in the early years of the
aids problems. The third way is from mother to child. If the woman is infected, her child has a 50/50% chance
of being born with the virus. Once this virus is constracted through these ways, the symptoms of the hiv
infection may not appear for a long time after the persons gets infected. There are several symptoms of hiv. Not
everyone will have the same symptoms. It depends of what stages of the disease they are in. there are three
stages of hiv, the first stage is acute hiv infection and the symptoms are fever, chill, rash, sorethroat, fatigue and
etc. these symptoms can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks. But some people do not have any
symptoms at all during this early stages of hiv. The second stage is clinical latency, in this stage, the virus still
multiplies but at very low levels. People in this stage may not feel sick or have any symptoms. This stage is also
called chronic hiv infection. The third stage is aids if you have hiv and you are not on hiv treatment, the virus
will weaken your body’s immune system and you will progress to aids. The symptoms of aids can include rapid
weight loss, memory loss, and other neurologic disorders. The best way of preventing the spread of hiv requires
a comprehensive strategy that includes effective, sustained health education and health promotional programs.
The goal of these programs is to reduce the risk of individual becoming infected with hiv or, if already infected.

Aids has become big issue in todays world effecting millions of people. The best solution to it all this
time is to be educated in it and to reduce the risk of getting infected with hiv which can lead to aids and make
sure you are practicing the prevention strategies and inform others about the knowledge you know about the
virus.
