Part list
Parts needed for assembly

 Screws: 8x M3x6
5x M3x10
4x M3x18
1x M3x30
4x M3x35
4x M3x40
11x M3 nut
I recommend using stainless steel screws with hex socket cap head.
 5mm stainless steel rod, total 250mm is used
 2 x stainless steel or ceramic bearing; OD=14mm, ID=5mm, width=5mm
 3 x rubber O-ring; OD=9mm, ID=5mm, thickness=2mm
 5mm to 5mm motor shaft coupler with maximum OD 16mm
 Silicone tube for watercooling
Electronics

 36mm watercooled brushless motor with standard 25mm mounting holes spacing.
A 40mm motor can be used, too, but you might have problems with clearance to the
bottom of the hull. It depends on the hull shape in that section.
Both 4 and 6 mounting hole patterns are accepted.
For optimum performance, aim for 25000-30000 unloaded RPM. (Unloaded RPM = Battery
voltage * Motor KV).
I use a 3660 1700KV motor on 4S LiPo with 81 Amp draw on full throttle.
 Standard full size servo (38mm x 20mm)
Tools needed for assembly and installation

 Drill with 5mm bit

 Allen keys
 Sandpaper
 Tools to cut a steel rod: Vice, hacksaw, file
 Knife or dremel to cut through the hull
 Epoxy glue
 Clamps

3
Print settings
Using following settings is very important for getting good tolerances and strength of the parts.

General settings – all parts

 0.4mm nozzle
 0.1mm layer height
 0.45mm extrusion width
 3 perimeters
 7 top and bottom layers
 For better results and reliability, print all parts one by one

Individual parts

Part name Infill Supports Material

First stage, Housing, Intake 15% NO PLA
grate, Ride plate, Second stage
Motor mount 15% NO PLA unless your motor heats up a lot,
then use ABS or PETG to prevent
melting
Ball, Bearing cap, Servo coupler, 70% NO PLA
Nozzle
First impeller, Second impeller 70% Optional PLA

Printing orientation

All STL files are by default oriented in the way they should be printed.

Assembly
1. Post-processing. If your printed parts have a fat first layer, cut it off. Sanding is not necessary, but
sanding the impellers can slightly improve the performance. Do NOT drill through the screw holes.
Some holes are smaller for the screws to be tightened properly.
2. Insert 8 M3 nuts into the slots in the Housing. Use an allen key to click them inside.

3. Cut 114mm long 5mm stainless steel rod for the driveshaft.

4. Try to slide the 5x14x5mm bearings onto the shaft. If they do not fit, sand both ends of the shaft (about
30mm from the end) using a drill and a sandpaper. Continue sanding until they fit with slight resistance.

5
5. Use a file to create a 25mm long flat spot on one end of the shaft to fit the Second impeller. Make a
small flat on the other end for the grub screw in your 5 to 5mm motor coupler as well.

6. Insert the first 5x14x5mm bearing into the Housing. Secure it with Bearing cap and M3x6 screw. Insert
a 9x5x2 rubber O-ring into the Housing. Push it into the channel with an allen key.

6
7. Mount your coupler to the motor, tighten the grub screw.
8. UPDATE: The part Servo coupler was changed after the release. The photos show the older version. The
assembly process stays the same. Prepare the Servo coupler. Insert a nut into the slot and secure it
with M3x10, do not tighten it yet. Insert an M3x6 or the screw supplied with your servo into the
channel. Center your servo. Mount the Servo coupler to the servo so that the M3x10 is pointing
upwards, out of the hull. Tighten the M3x6.

9. Mount the motor to the Motor mount. If your motor has 6 mounting holes, use 3 M3x10 and 3
M3x35. If your motor has 4 mounting holes, use 2 M3x10 and 2 M3x35. Mount the servo to the Motor
mount using 4 M3x6.

7
10. Mount the Motor mount to the Housing using 4 M3x18.

11. Insert the second 5x14x5mm bearing into Second stage. Push a little bit of grease through the bearing.

12. Insert the driveshaft into the Housing. Tighten the grub screw on the coupler. Push grease into the
port and close the port with M3x6.

8
13. Insert the First impeller, First stage and Second impeller. The impellers have to line up, rotate the First
impeller if needed. Slide a 9x5x2 O-ring onto the driveshaft to prevent the Second impeller from
rubbing aganist the bearing.

14. Close everything with Second stage. Tighten it using 4 M3x40.

15. Mount the Nozzle to the Second stage using 2 M3x6. Make sure that it can move freely in full range.

9
16. UPDATE: The part Ball was changed after the release. The photos show the older version. Cut 136mm
long 5mm stainless steel rod for the steering shaft. Grind two small flat spots for the screws in Ball and
Servo coupler on the shaft. (Same as you did for the motor coupler in step 5.) Slide the shaft through
the holes into the Servo coupler and tighten the coupler. Insert the Ball and tighten it using M3x10 and
M3 nut. Do NOT insert the O-ring into the slot on the Housing yet, you will do that after the installation.

17. Insert M3 nut into the slot in the Ride plate. Pull it into place using a shorter screw. Then screw in
M3x30 and tighten it to a middle position. Insert Intake grate and Ride plate into the Housing and
secure it with M3x35.

10
18. Assembly finished. Connect the watercooling and test the pump!

11
Installation
Hull requirements. You need a hull with a flat plate at the stern. The angle between the stern and this
plate has to be 90 degrees. The plate has to be at least 68mm long and 35mm wide. The stern has to be at
least 55mm tall.

1. Disassemble the pump, until you have the Housing alone. The bearing, Bearing cap and all nuts can stay
inside. Remove the M3x6 from the grease port. Tape the grease port to not let dust in.

12
2. Tape the area around the place for the pump. Draw the shape of the hole as shown. The easiest way is
to start with the centerline.

3. Cut the hole using a dremel or a knife.

13
4. Grind the bottom corners using a file to line it up with the inner surface of the hull.

5. Now measure a new top cut line, this time taking the thickness of your hull into account. Measure
41mm from the INNER SURFACE of the hull. Cut the top line.

14
6. Sand the edges of the hole as needed, until the pump can slide in with medium resistance.

7. Apply epoxy glue on the pump. Slide the pump into the hull and use clamps with a piece of wood and
something heavy (hammer) to hold it in place. Let the epoxy cure.

15
8. Remove the clamps. Apply new epoxy around the pump. Let it cure.

9. Sand the transition into the intake.

10. Drill a hole for the steering shaft with a 5mm bit. Enlarge the hole until the steering shaft fits
smoothly. Insert the last O-ring into the slot and assemble the pump again.

16
11. Installation finished. Enjoy driving!
