TV Commercials and in-stadium Jumbotron statistics:


It is difficult to tell exactly how much traffic is coming directly through these means. When looking at
live Google analytics minimal spikes in real-time are as follows:
Jumbotron (Canucks, Oilers, Flames and Senators) sends approximately 10 people to the website.
TV commercial (running on Global TV BC) sends 40 to 50 people to the website each time it runs.

Men’s Health Week (Q1 and 2)


The Management Team met and discussed the elements of MHW. A concept was created for “The
Pledge”. The decision was made to put the #Sockitup campaign into 2016.

NHL Strategic Alliance (all year)


CMHF had a booth at the Community Corner at the Vancouver Canucks’ game night at Rogers Arena on
February 9th. Joe Rachert, Ryan Klesc and two community nurses manned the booth. Roberto Aquilini
and Victor De Bonis provided a suite to the game. Trevor Linden was interviewed by Sportsnet and
spoke about the CMHF campaign. Wayne Hartrick did a promotion spot for the Trevor Linden Jersey
contest that was shown on the Jumbotron. The Don’t Change Much commercial was also shown on the
Jumbotron.

The Trevor Linden Jersey contest captured 58 emails at the Canucks Community Corner event on
February 9th, and through a 10 day Facebook campaign another 220 emails and 64 Likes were received;
the highest engagement thus far.

Play On! 2015 (Q1 and 3)


An agreement was signed between CMHF and Brainex Canada Ltd. CMHF will partner in the national
Play On! Street hockey events and Redwood Cup national championships. The term is February 17, 2015
until November 22, 2015.

Scotiabank/Rogers Sportsnet (all year)
On-going discussion and communications re sponsorship. Rogers Sportsnet is being informed about
progress with Scotiabank and federal government.

Jordan will provide update when he returns from annual leave.

CMHF Champions (all year)


Simon Whitfield wrote a letter dated February 18, 2015 that was sent to all of the Parliamentarians who
are members of the Men’s Health Caucus. In this letter it was requested of each member to send a
letter to the Ministers of Finance and Health asking them to get behind the CMHF budget proposal ($1
million dollars per year for 5 years).

You Check (Q1, 2 and 3)


There was a large spike in YouCheck traffic following the Canucks promotion for one day.  Traffic to
YouCheck went from 9 sessions to 120 sessions following the promotion.

The UBC Ethics have been successfully revised. You Check 1.5 is being translated to be fully operational
in English and French. The English version is completed and it is anticipated the French version will be
completed by the end of April 15, 2015.

Due to a change in Google Analytics reporting statistics for YouCheck are unavailable for
January/February 2015.

Eshe (Q1 and 2)


Joe Rachert worked with UBC to build out the organization structure for the delivery of the information
in the HRA tool. After that time UBC put the project on hold and it is to be reviewed in the near future.

Collaboration with the Canadian Mental Health Association (Q1 and 2)


Joe Rachert connected with CMHA. They sent over their campaign overview. Their proposal will be
forwarded to CMHF in April.

BCIT (Q1)
12 groups of 5 students presented to Sam Omidi the week of February 25-27 th. The results were very
good, and 4 of the groups excelled in their presentations of their concepts as outlined below:
Group 1 - A Toolbox for the EverymanIncentives such as healthy guides for major cities
 Fitbit giveaways
 Good toilet sign with urine color reminding to drink water
 Bikes that charge phone batteries
 Father’s day camp out and contest for best tent
Group 9 – Take care of your s*** (self) 
 Shit mates don't say – AUS website
 Guys don't talk to people because they don't want to worry people around them

Medical Advisory Board (all year)


Dr. Peter Pommerville met with the CMHF team on February 17 th to discuss the possibility of being on
the Content Advisor for CMHF. Also discussed was the opportunity for Dr. Pommerville to work with Dr.
Goldenberg in forming a Medical Advisory Board and recruiting members for it.
Public Relations (all year)
Wayne Hartrick participated in the Global Action for Men’s Health teleconference held on February 11 th.

The Federal Minister of Health invited Wayne Hartrick to participate in a Minister’s round Table in
Ottawa on February 5th. Discussions were held regarding actioning the evidence on physical activity -
collective action that can make Canada the fittest nation on earth. Wayne attended the facilitated
session with 60 leaders from health, business, government and NGOs to determine a goal for Canadian
physical activity and actions to implement.

CMHF brochures were provided for an event put on by the Peace Arch Hospital Wellness Committee on
February 17th and 18th, 2015.

Office and Operations (all year)


Deloitte attended the CMHF office to complete the audit. They have received all information necessary
and the anticipated date of completion is April 15, 2015.
The January 2015 financials have been completed.
All existing contractor and employment agreements have been reviewed and updated.
Raquelle Roodenburg’s last day of employment was February 28, 2015.
