If you didn’t paint this week, it’s on you. There is
always enough time. Even if you work a full-time job, you can find time. Cut out TV, don’t EVER play
video games, stop spending so much time on social media. If you truly want it, make it happen. 💫
Focus on developing your own unique style. Become obsessive over the idea of being authentic.
Expose yourself to hundreds, if not thousands of different artists and refine what it is that you love
about art. Look at different photographers. Find out what you love about graphic design. Explore
fashion. Develop your personal aesthetic and sift out anything that doesn’t feel true to yourself.
Once you know what your own unique style is, you’ll have a much greater drive to share your art
and be vulnerable because you will become more confident in your art.
Accept that there are no limitations. Country borders aren’t a limitation anymore, you can dropship
prints and sell all over the world. You don’t need Peggy Guggenheim’s stamp of approval, you just
have to connect your audience in order to develop a network of collectors. Don’t even know how
😉
to paint? You’ve come to the right place. No matter what your circumstance is, I promise you
that you’re capable of creating a successful art career.
Even if you are 63 years old and just decided to learn how to paint after sidelining your passion for
art your entire life, you still can have a successful art career. Just look at Grandma Moses: she didn’t
pick up a brush until her 70’s and still found her way into galleries and museums and painted until
her death at the age of 101! And she didn’t even have instagram to promote herself! Imagine how
viral she would be nowadays… 💡
You have a story worth becoming viral, too. Focus on your strengths. Accentuate what you’ve had
to overcome, share your story and people will connect with you and your art more. Take extreme
ownership of your art career and y ou will succeed.❤
