my classroom to help break the usual mold of
teaching. I believe that there are so many valuable
resources, to help students begin to think and become
independent thinkers and learners. My first lessons
will begin with real world situations where people did
not think and ask questions, in not doing so it can

8. As a result of the Inquiry process, what was the impact on (list specific evidence):

EFLECT
• Instructional/classroom practices: I have reached out to become more involved with our schools SSC and other parent
involvement groups at our school site to better involve our community, parents and students to help our students in school
and in the classroom. In September, I am planning on running for the SSC president to help work with parents and
students regarding the importance of education. I will take a very proactive approach to helping students and parents
understand that teachers, students, and parents are a collaborative team that must work together in order for students to
achieve student success.
• Student achievement: As a realistic person I understand that test cannot always accurately assess a student’s academic
worth. In grading I always consider student proficiency in accord with the California Standards for my subject area as it
can be seen in student work and homework. The district SPA test are a key tool that will continue to guide my instruction in
accord with The Los Angeles Unified School District Pacing Plan for Language Arts.
9. Describe how you will apply new learning to future practice? As I look forward to teaching another year, I will

international laws, and healthy living as a means to bring interesting discussions to my classroom and to my content
area.
