Course Title: Art Appreciation and Aesthetics

Course Description:
This course deals with the elements of visual art, the historical development of art the performing
arts (from folk to modern), drama, film and multimedia.

Course Learning Outcome: The course are able you to:


1. State the elements of art
2. Apply the elements of art in their sketches or drawings
3. Appreciate deeply and critically the work of art by known painters and their art work as well
4. Edit Video on their blogs
5. Select music on their edited slides or blogs being done

 Module 3 Artist and Artisans
 Module 4 Elements and Principles of Art
 Module 5 Historical Development of Art
 Module 6 Drama, Music and Film
 Module 7 Soul Making, Appropriation and Improvisation
 Module 8 Historical Development of Philippine Art

Reflective Journal
The required reflection assigned in the module allows you to record your thoughts relative to the
transformation that happened in your thinking and life in general upon completing each module. Your
reflection records how each module affected your way of teaching as you express your opinions about
the course and lessons your reflection paper should not exceed one coupon bond double space

Online Discussion:
Each module will be introduced and additional inputs will be given in a pre-recorded video with
power point presentations as a jumpstart and can be accessed in our in-house learning management
system with the following link

Examination/Quizzes schedules
Periodic examinations will cover the module assigned in each period. Anticipate objective and
essay questions in your exam which will be uploaded in our in-house learning Management System or
other viable means flexible enough relative to your personal circumstances. Our system will allow you to
take the examination provided you settle your account due to the period. Payment of fees will be
scheduled to give due time for the business office to validate date payments
