Case1
Calculate a ticket price for a following event. Price a ticket for the event only and a VIP-ticket
including a dinner and a gift:
Rental of premises for 550 person
(including electricity and technician) 10000
Costs for cleaning 500
Artists 2000
Catering: Dinner including 3 non-alcoholic drinks pp 28
will be invoiced based on the participant amount
Gift per person 8
Rental of catering and safety staff members 1000
Other costs (insurances, catering of bands etc.) 1000
All above mentioned costs are including VAT (if there is a VAT)
Add a profit margin of 15% to cover marketing, admin and other costs and commission of retailers.
Add VAT of an event 10%
Estimate that you will sell 90% of the capacity.
Case2a
Calculate a package tour for following weekend trip to London. Use minimum group size of 20 pax

Flights: negotiated net rate e 140

Taxes and fees e 48

Land package will include:

Accommodation for four nights:

Single room £ 100 per night net per room *** hotel

Twin/double £ 120 per night net per room *** hotel

Single room £ 120 per night net per room **** hotel

Twin/double £ 140 per night net per room **** hotel

Airport transfers: £ 200 per direction (include both directions into your calculation)

City sightseeing: £ 420 for bus and guide

Profit margin: 12 %

VAT from profit margin: add needed amount

Please calculate how much is the package rate including all services per person in €. Make each step of your
round it up either to next decimal or to next € in order to cover all costs.
The total amount to be paid by participants will be rounded up to next 10 €. For psychological reason can
be rounded down by few euros (e.g. package total price 402,50 can be rounded down to 395).
Case2b
Calculate the same package tour for a weekend trip to London as in case 2a. This time calculate it for
individual passengers (no minimum group size)

Use same rates for flights and accommodation as above.

Airport transfers: £ 10 per direction by Heathrow express (include both directions into your
calculation)

City sightseeing: £ 29 per person with Hop-on Hop-off

Profit margin: 12 %

VAT from profit margin: add needed amount

Case 3
Calculate a package rate for Palma de Mallorca for repeat business / one departure per week / minimum
group size of 30 pax / week.
