Alarm Description
If transmission links are automatically set up and the static detection function is enabled (the X2, eX2, Xw, S1, and F1
interfaces for LTE or the gNBX2, gNBS1, and gNBF1 interfaces for NR support only GTP-U detection and the uX2
interface for UMTS supports only UDP ping detection).
For the LTE X2, eX2, Xw, S1, and F1 interfaces or the NR gNBX2, gNBS1, and gNBF1 interfaces, the system sends
an echo request every minute when link GTP-U static detection is enabled. This alarm is reported when no echo
response is received within the configured echo response timeout duration and the number of timeouts exceeds the
threshold for the number of echo response timeouts. The echo response timeout duration and threshold for the
number of timeouts are configured using the MOD GTPU command, and their default values are 5000 ms and 3,
respectively.
The link GTP-U static detection is considered enabled in the following scenarios:
1. Static Check Mode in the GEPMODELPARA MO is set to EPSTATICCHK(Endpoint Group Static Check) and Static
Check Switch in the EPGROUP MO which the link corresponds to is set to ENABLE(Enable).
2. Static Check Mode in the GEPMODELPARA MO is set to EUPPEERSTATICCHK(User-Plane Peer Static Check)
and Static Check Switch in the USERPLANEPEER MO which the link corresponds to is set to ENABLE(Enable).
3. Static Check Mode in the GEPMODELPARA MO is set to EUPPEERSTATICCHK(User-Plane Peer Static Check),
Static Check Switch in the USERPLANEPEER MO which the link corresponds to is set to FOLLOW_GLOBAL(Same
as the GTP-U static detection switch), and Static Check Switch in the GTPU MO is set to EABLE(Enable).
For the UMTS uX2 interface, the system sends an echo request every 10 seconds if UDP ping static detection is
enabled. This alarm is reported when no echo response is received within the configured echo response timeout
duration and the number of timeouts exceeds the threshold for the number of echo response timeouts. The echo
response timeout duration and threshold for the number of timeouts are configured using the SET UDPPING
command, and their default values are 5000 ms and 3, respectively.

Possible Causes
Software None
Hardware The hardware of the board that carries the user plane is faulty.
Miscellaneous The user plane path's underlying bearer link is faulty.
The certificate is invalid.
In the local end, the packet filtering function is enabled, resulting in the user plane
path detection failure.
Network or peer device configuration is incomplete, resulting in the user plane
path detection failure.
