Chapter 1:
Contents of Programmer Board

1. 8051 USB Programmer Board

This is a programmer for 89 series microcontroller devices in 20 & 40 pin packages and
supports various 8 pin serial EEPROM ICs. ZIF socket enables easy insertion and removal of
devices for programming. Programming is very fast since it is USB based. No external power
required since it is powered from USB port itself.
Note: All required software’s are included in accompanying CD.

Chapter 2:
Installing Software’s

1. Install USB Driver

Install USB driver provided on CDROM in folder “CP2102 DRIVER” by using its setup
file and install manually as per your operating system.

2. Connect Programmer to USB port & Start Software

Connect programmer to USB port. When connecting the hardware to USB the LED will
blink once and become off. It is normal indication of everything is ok and it is ready to use.

Run Willar software from desktop or folder where it is stored. Software should connect
and show ONLINE icon green color at bottom. Your programmer is ready to use. Refer to pages
below to follow process.

Chapter 3:
Getting Started
Follow the below steps and figures will guide you.

1. The window will appear as shown below.

2. Go to Device menu and click on SELECT DEVICE option and select your device; click OK.

3. Click on LOAD option, select and open the hex file.

4. Below shown window will appears now Click on OK.

5. Now “Load File Successful” appears on the screen and Click on AUTO option the program
will writes into microcontroller.

6. Auto method will automatically do Erase, Blank Check, Program, Verify & Protect.

After this process, remove IC from the ZIF socket and place it on your evaluation board it
works nicely according to your program.

Chapter 4:
Precautions
Please note that the 8051 USB Programmer Board come without any case/box and all
components are exposed for finger touches – and therefore extra attention must be paid to ESD
(electrostatic discharge) precaution.

Make it a habit always to first touch the metal surface of one of the USB or Ethernet
connectors for a few seconds with both hands before touching any other parts of the boards.

That way, you will have the same potential as the board and therefore minimize the risk
for ESD. Never touch directly on the 8051 USB Programmer Board. The push-buttons on the
8051USB Programmer Board have grounded shields to minimize the effect of ESD.
