Trilogy Health Services Media Statement

St. Elizabeth Healthcare Campus, Delphi, IN

At Trilogy Health Services, the health and well-being of our residents, employees, and families is our top
priority. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken measures to fight the virus, protect those
we serve, and continue to enrich the lives of the seniors who call our campuses home. Every step we have
taken has been informed by guidance from federal, state, and local officials, including the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Resident care is the top priority of every member of the team at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Campus, and abuse
or neglect of any kind is not tolerated. Family members are encouraged to contact the campuses with any
concerns, and it is our Trilogy standard to contact residents and his/her representative(s) once per week
through our Family Call program. We believe in keeping our families informed as much as possible, while
acknowledging that the primary job of our campus teams is to serve our residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week.
St. Elizabeth has continually worked in collaboration with the ISDH, including hosting multiple site visits. The
campus has not been cited with any deficiencies, and has been applauded for its stringent infection control
measures. In addition to equipping every employee with the proper PPE, St. Elizabeth screens every employee,
visitor, and vendor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Those who do not pass the screening are not to enter
the campus. St. Elizabeth is also regularly testing employees and residents for COVID-19, and has equipped all
employees with proper PPE. Within the campus, Green, Yellow and Red zones allow caregivers to provide
exceptional clinical care to all residents while upholding proper quarantine measures. Designated staff
members care for symptomatic residents in Red and Yellow zones.
Trilogy Health Services and St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center are proud to utilize 100% Trilogy employees.
Trilogy’s Voyager program provides employees with the opportunity to serve residents at campuses in need of
additional staff members. This ensures that all Trilogy residents receive care that meets our high standards,
from compassionate staff who treat them like family. Any staff members who assist at St. Elizabeth are trained
in infection control, provided proper PPE and screened multiple times per shift.
Over the past months, we have also enhanced our infection control protocols. This includes the creation of
the Trilogy SHIELD program with the 3M Commercial Solutions division. Through this program, our teams
utilize hospital-grade disinfectants such as 40-A, which has been tested and proven by the EPA to kill the
COVID-19 virus when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. We are also piloting the use of
3M’s CleanTrace technology, cold plasma air purification and in-room UV-C sanitization.
We understand that one of the most difficult aspects of this pandemic has been the suspension of visits to our
campuses. We are pleased to share that as our states allow, we are welcoming visitors for indoor and/or
outdoor visits to our communities. However, visits may be suspended if the campus does not meet the criteria
set forth by state and local officials. Our visitation policies per state are published on our website at
www.trilogyhs.com/covid-19.

have policies in place that allow for Essential Family Caregivers as they are permissible, as well as
essential, off-site medical appointments. Of course, we also allow our families to visit if their loved one is
receiving end-of-life care.
We cannot overstate how grateful we are to every family who has entrusted us with the care of their loved
one during these unprecedented times. Our families and our residents have exercised both patience and
understanding as we have responded to a very fluid situation. Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved
ones due to COVID-19. While we cannot fully grasp the enormity of the pain that is being felt by their surviving
family members, we also cared deeply for those who are gone, and their passing has left its mark on our
hearts.
The dedication of the entire team at St. Elizabeth cannot be overstated. From the Executive Director, an RN
who has provided direct care to residents, to every member of the Life Enrichment, Dining, Clinical, and
Environmental Services team, we have witnessed countless act of selflessness, strength, and resilience. They
are no less than heroes.
Out of respect for the privacy of our residents and their families, we cannot comment on specific details
regarding those in our care. We will continue to work closely with the ISDH, pursue transparency, provide
quality care, and put our residents and their families first, just as we always have.
