ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES

1. Establish CONSTANT COMMUNICATION with your subject teacher regarding the
subject matter. Always be ACTIVE IN OUR GROUP CHAT so you will get the up-to-
date announcements. MAKE IT A HABIT OF BACKREADING if you happen to miss
out anything. KEEP POSTED!
2. QUESTIONS/QUERIES about LESSON/MODULE/WORKSHEETS will be allowed
ONLY DURING OUR EAPP TIME. No personal messages or queries shall be
entertained beyond EAPP TIME. NOTE THAT I HAVE CLASSES WITH OTHER
SECTIONS TOO. You are interrupting my class or time with them. BE CONSIDERATE
OF OTHERS. And, your teacher is not a JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES, if you get what I
mean.
3. NO CHATS/PERSONAL MESSAGE that are school-related shall be entertained ON
THE WEEKENDS (SATURDAY/SUNDAY). IT’S THE WEEKEND FOR A
TEACHER SO PLEASE! SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY AS
WELL.
4. DURING THE WEEKDAYS (MONDAY-FRIDAY), no school-related stuff shall be
answered BEYOND 5PM. Please respect your and your teacher’s PERSONAL TIME.
WE BOTH NEED TO GET SOME REST even though we are in the WORK-FROM-
HOME and STUDY-AT-HOME set-up. GIVE BOTH PARTY THE SO-CALLED
PERSONAL SPACE.
5. IF PRINTED MODULES ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE, submission of answers will be
via personal message/chat (jpeg or word doc). IF THE MODULE IS ALREADY
AVAILABLE BY THE START OF CLASSES, catchment and retrieval of SELF-
LEARNING MODULES shall be done EVERY FRIDAY. Your registered
guardian/parent shall be the same person who will pick it up for you from the partner
LGU-catchment areas (BRGY HALLS nearest your location).
6. POLL FOR ATTENDANCE in our GC DURING EAPP TIME shall be considered as
your official attendance. LATE VOTES (BEYOND EAPP TIME) shall not be honored.
To make it simple, if you casted your vote later than end of EAPP time, you are
considered ABSENT. Please refer to your class schedule so you will be guided as well.
7. SUBMISSION OF EAPP OUTPUT SHALL BE THE LAST DAY OF MEETING FOR
THE WEEK IN EAPP SUBJECT/TIME. Meaning to say, if we meet ONCE A WEEK,
you will submit your work ON THE SAME DAY. If we meet TWICE A WEEK, you
must submit your work BEFORE THE END OF CLASS TIME ON THE SECOND
DAY OF EAPP MEETING. (This shall apply until such time that we are using DIGITAL
MODULES). LATE WORKS will NO LONGER BE
ACCEPTED/RECORDED/GRADED. Manage your time wisely. In the case that
PHYSICAL/PRINTED MODULE is available, refer to instructions in RULE #5.
8. USE A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER in answering the module. YOU ARE NOT
ALLOWED to write anything on it. Use a clean sheet of paper for your answers. DO
NOT FORGET TO WRITE YOUR NAME AND YOUR SECTION LEGIBLY on the
submitted OUTPUT. Do not skip any section from your module. SUBMIT IT WITH
COMPLETE ANSWERS.
9. Answer the MODULE with utmost HONESTY and to the best of your ability.
10. FIX YOUR FACEBOOK NAME. Use your PSA REGISTERED-NAME because we
teachers do not know you PERSONALLY. We will only refer to your registered name in
the enrolment form. This will likewise HELP YOU in a way that you will be easily
recognized by your teacher. It will minimize recording errors and misconceptions.
MESSENGER NICKNAME DOES NOT COUNT AS COMPLIANCE.
11. For those who are UNDER ONLINE DISTANCE LEARNING, GOOGLE
CLASSROOM and GOOGLE MEETINGS are a MUST. It will be an avenue for your
learning experience.
12. For those under MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING, presence in the group chat is
highly recommended.
13. Students who failed to follow the official class rules shall get DEMERITS which will be
converted as deductions to your class standing. Let’s include here DISRESPECTFUL and
ill-mannered students.
14. PUNCTUALITY in attendance and submission of subject requirements, PROPER
DECORUM and GOOD MANNERS shall be commended and shall be MERITED as
INCENTIVES IN EAPP.
15. LEARNING NEVER STOPS. Don’t ever quit your DAYDREAM. You have to keep
going. It will not be easy but it is going to be worth it. I PRAY THAT THIS BE YOUR
DAILY MOTIVATION. HAPPY LEARNING!
